Well been a busy few days at uni, done my formative ... still got my class plans to organise and speech to write as well as the big practical exam to do and the other paper to write ... so its all hands on deck for uni stuff just now
spending has been not too bad have only bought avacado's, no more petrol as of yet but I am sure I will fill up shortly, no more take aways or alcohol spending to report ( so far .. but then we have still to have the weekend)
Have noticed prices are creeping up, i'm wondering if this is as a result of brexit whether it be excuses for companies to put their prices up or whether prices have went up. Worth keeping an eye on i reckon
my mortgage company didnt take the mortgage last week when they were sposed to, so i phoned on the Tuesday and asked what was going on, they apologised and explained it was a problem with their system, then said i can either pay it as a bank transfer or they will take it on the 26th, i asked if i did a bank transfer would they then try taking it on the 26th and was told no, they would put a note on my account saying not to take the money, so i did a bank transfer, and lo and behold they took the direct debit on the 25th, cue another phone call to get the mess sorted, apologies are all good and well but if there is going to be a problem with taking the mortgage they should have informed me straight away0 -

Wellllllll funny you should say that ... it's Malcesine were thinking of going to Hotel Vega ( although some trip advisor reviews are putting us off so not sure now) with a wee trip up to Monte Baldo
And on the books was deff a visit to the ampitheatre to watch an Opera... the idea of sitting there with a candle on whilst listening to beautiful music excites me ... I think it will be one of those things you remember forever ... was it good ?
And thanks for the reply0 -

Monte Baldo was lovely and the opera was stunning! We saw Aida one year with a cast of about 200 :eek::eek:Must use my stash up!0 -
That's a huge cast lol0

I saw a production of Aida like that, at the Royal Albert Hall! It must be one they do when they want blockbusters
Never been to an opera in the open air, though, that must be really special. One for the to-do list, I think
El - you could go to the nicest place in the world, and if you were going for caring duties, it wouldn't have the same shine - that's what our Norfolk holidays turned into the last few years, because mum was so tired even then, and we were in lovely well appointed house rentals.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well diesel money down to £50 food money down to £55 ( dont think we will make it) take away money £15 spent and alcohol £12.50 spent. Overdraft getting hammered, and worrying hitting stress levels, whilst still trying to do these class plans.
But no money spent on anything else, so thats good atleast.I'm hoping that I can save a wee bit of money from the diesel and take away budgets to buy food which I am hoping will be enough to see us through till pay day... Going to have to work on next month's budget shortly though0 -
What a weekend globally politics wise though, things are altering fast in the world and not all of it for the better.0
