Lake Garda was my mum's favourite place and, it appears, George Clooney 's!

    Sounds lovely El :)

Do you use Vanguard in your SIPP at all? I just realised that they cut costs by a tiny bit, all helps :money:

Barcelona, Verona, Lake Garda ... yes, those are "El" territory - not Benidorm!!! I'd be quite interested to visit Benidorm for 24 hours as a research trip for my end of the world novel, but thats about it :D

Don't bother - it's everything you imagined x 2 . Though the Old Town and Poniente Beach are quite nice.

Lake Garda is beautiful, we had a lovely holiday there in a hotel where our room had a massive terrace overlooking the lake :T. Mr C was not in residence though :(. Fabulous train ride up from Begamo (where Ryanair fly to don't you know ;), and worth a visit as well).

Not sure if it is, or whether it's just such a contrast :rotfl:.

lol Kc yep it is more El territory, first time we went to Benidorm was our honeymoon, I had never been abroad before so didnt know what to expect, it was the first time I ever tried coffee, and we didnt experience the sights that are currently available in Benidorm...

The second time we had been asked to go and care for family members, so it wasnt our choice of place to go to but we accepted we were there for caring duties, so we "put up" with things it was one of the worst holidays of my life, we never slept at all, our room was right outside a 24/7 party place the caring duties involved attending nights out ... oh my ... the least said the better, I fully understand for some people that is a great place to go to, a great night out, and i'm sure many people love it ... but it isnt me, I like quiet.

The third ( and last ) time we went to Benidorm it was once again for caring duties, I insisted I picked the accommodation, I chose right out of the town, in place called Magic Natura all inclusive family place with a water park and zoo access ... it was actually much better, you didnt have to go into town you could just relax where you were ... the food was fine ... the problem came with all the caring again, i dont mind caring, but this turned into caring for 4 adults and being stuck in the middle of arguments ...

so Benidorm no more for me... caring or not lol
