Vehicle Control Services Sheffield - small or large company?

Hi All
This is my first attempt at this type of thing so apologies if I make a mistake.
I have received a PCN from Vehcile Control Services for parking in the Flora Street car park Sheffield (where there were no bays!). I am going to appeal and have read as many threads as I can including the NEWBIES one and I am trying to follow the flow chart re applealing. I am not sure if this company is classsed as a small one and I should appeal now, or a larger company so should wait until they send me a notice through the post.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Looking at previous threads regarding appeals it states to wait until I receive a notice through the post but the notice I received on my car states I must appeal directly to them within 21 days. Could anybody give me some advice as to which way to proceed, getting quite frustrated with this now. :mad:0

the notice in the post relates to the NTK coming from VCS after which you appeal to VCS
you appear to have the 21 day appeal time to VCS as the driver , otherwise the RK gets the NTK in the post ( K meaning Keeper , not D for Driver)
the 2 are not related so you are confused
the one on the windshield is actually for the driver to use to appeal, they have no idea who that driver is , so it could have been me driving, its not actually addressed to anybody in particular, just the driver
the one in the post will contain the RK details , (or Keeper details in some cases) , its this NTK addressed to the Keeper that is appealed by the RK
the driver and RK are not necessarily the same person

Thanks so much for the way you worded that, its made it a lot clearer for me. Since they don't know who the driver was I'll wait for the charge through the post and go from there. No doubt i'll be back then for further advice from you wonderful lot even though I have the flow chart to follow! :eek:0

I will be watching this thread as I got a ticket from them on flora street and I'm guessing the cars were parked in roughly the same place...(I.e. side of Iceland?)0

Hi there,
I too have wrongly received a parking ticket after parking at the side of Iceland at Flora Street car park. According to the ticket, it claims I parked in a 'restricted zone' yet there were no signs outlining this. According to the terms and conditions board displayed in the car park, a restricted zone consists of one with double yellow lines, hatches, entrances, exits and pedestrian walkways so where I parked certainly was neither of these things!
I shop at Flora Street regularly and always park in the same space and this is the first time this has happened to me! A man who was there today informed me that he too had been fined yesterday and said that the ticket warden sits at the top of the road waiting for this particular area to fill up and then he will go and issue tickets (about 7 or 8 at a time). This is very clearly a money-making scam so I have emailed my dispute along with photographic evidence today to the email provided on the back of the ticket. I would strongly advice anyone else in the same situation to do this as it is completely wrong.
I am also looking at reporting this to the trading standards so they can investigate this.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Jess0
