I think I'd be petulant and awkward; argumentative and moody.
I think, for me, it'd be "too much change"
And, for you, you had to do that "reverse parenting" thing ... "will they stay in the same bedroom... or shall I make him sleep on the sofa?"

Well there's always the inheritance to think of
I think that was her thought pattern.
As it happens, the death of his wife spurred him into spending and travelling as much as he could. He retired earlier than he would have done had he not been widowed, he has had many years of good health and money spending. It is now at the point where she would view him marrying as a way of ensuring he has the funds to continue his new lifestyle.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. What if the parents had inherited the money, though? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

They're great aren't they. The best bit, I think, is that you don't have to remember they're on, they turn themselves off and ping
Having just been through the oven thing, I wanted one that was white and gas. Must have taken nearly 5 minutes of decision. I just then made sure the hob was the same make as the oven. I really make decisions very very quickly on what I view as irrelevant things.:o
Just got a truck on demo this week. We rang another manufacturer, who said they'd come back to us the foloowing day - that was three weeks ago. All trucks, like cars, are much of a muchness - start thinking too much and it frazzles your brain. Lads like the one on demo, so that sorts that:D.vivatifosi wrote: »
Not sure how I would be, but I wouldn't want my parents to be lonely (mine are both still alive so hard to know). I'd probably be like a fierce dad in terms of wanting to check them out and making sure they are good enough though:o.
I often wish my mum had found someone nice to spend the last few years of her life. Then again, she didn't seem too bothered by being alone.I don't think I could keep up with a much younger woman.
You don't know until you try.
But I forsee many, many problems, so probably wiser to stick with the current Lady GDB;)0 -

I actually don't want anybody other than the current DW. Perhaps your mum felt the same about her DH? Plus, there's the awkwardness about dating. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
