Actually I would highly recommend that people visit the company's website:
sites.google.com/site/woodflooringnorthlondon/
If you scroll down to the bottom, the third like from the left is 'Report Abuse'. If enough people report it as spam the website will be taken down, at least temporarily.
I didn't realise that....done💙💛 💔0 -

We've got an awesome storm on the way apparently.
Well, that was fun.
PN, post a picture? I do this for living and can't get my head around it. We don't usually convey design in words!
From what I did gather, 900 square shower tray is a great size for most people to fit into. I'd only use a quadrant as a very last resort. They are annoying to clean, and !!!!!!.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Cripes. It's absolutely throwing it down.
As it was 38C today the roof is steaming!
The temperature is falling rapidly. It was about 34C when it started raining. 10 minutes later it's 25C at most and still dropping. I love weather like this.0 -
This storm is crazy. The thunder sounds like something from a movie, a real crack that is scaring the kids. The air smells great too.0

It's a bit complicated but it basically works thus.
1. You pay three fees for aged care. The basic fee, the accommodation fee and the means tested fee.
2. The basic fee is set at a level of 85% of the age pension so an old person can definitely pay for their care as it will always be less than their income
3. The means tested fee is a capped amount that is paid according to your means, i.e. your assets and income. Your family home is generally considered as part of your assets. If your OH is still alive the value of your assets is considered to be 50% of the assets of the pair of you.
4. The accommodation fee is also a means tested fee in effect.
Thanks for taking the time Gen - seems it's not entirely dissimilar to our system.
Love storms as well, particularly at night when I'm driving and you crest a hill and see all the lightning in the distance.0 -
I love the clear the air storms you can sometimes get, lots of noise, rain and flashes in the sky but afterwards, the air smells so clean.
Not so keen on lightening though, have got better over the years, at least I don't hide anymore and can at least watch some of it.....from a distance. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

It seems reasonable. The problem I can see is that if your OH needs care and your home is a vast proportion of your wealth then you have a problem. That could be hard for someone living in an inner city area that was cheap but has shot up in value and there are a few of those.
Having said that, the welfare state doesn't exist to make life cruisy, it is there to help people in genuine need. If you have a million dollar house and a financial problem then there is a fairly obvious solution.0 -

We have a toilet/sink under the stairs (as there was nowhere else to put one), and despite being a tight fit it's doable without any squeezing.
I'm really not well at the moment (haven't been feeling brilliant for the last few weeks), so apologies if I go quiet for the next few days
I'm actually (now OH has managed to swap leave with someone) looking forward to jury service (starts Monday), so hopefully I'll be feeling better by then.
I hope you're better soon. I've never done jury service. I was called once, but I asked to postpone it, and they have not called me since. I gather that you may be lucky and have an interesting case or two, or you may just sit there waiting to be selected. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

There's been an enormous outcry about that in the uk, with the government saying they will take the family home out of the equation, at least up to quite a generous limit. At the moment, I think the limit is only £16k.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

e.g. in the last 2-3 hours I've saved an image, opened Excel 6x and jiggled plans ideas around, checked/updated my .txt file on TV programmes, read the DM and googled lots of stuff.
It's files/access that's my main issue.
I should just buy a PC ...and a wireless printer.
I am writing this on my tablet, but for anything serious work wise I run to the PC. The tablet is easy to carry around, and it is convenient, but it is not equivalent to a PC in terms of ergonomics. For example, there is no mouse, and the on-screen keyboard is very slow to use. Having said that, it is possible to get external keyboards for tablets. No reliance should be placed on the above!
