Rectangle shower with a hinged door.

Don't like wet rooms because everywhere gets splashed.

    Quarter circle shape feel claustrophobic.

Are you building right up to the boundary? You'd better check this out, then. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/party-wall-etc-act-1996-guidance

I hope you all have a lovely day.

    That's all.

    Hello Speky. :hello:

Thank you for your kind wishes for all of us NP to have a lovely day. I suspect most NP aren't replying to you because your post, being something of a non sequitur, and from a poster with a low post count, raises suspicions in veteran forum posters that it might be the sort of thing that would be posted by a spambot. However, your other posts seem to me to be real, so I am inclining to the idea that you are a real person. If so, then welcome. Come in and tell us about yourself. Do you like mushrooms? Do you use Excel? Do you live in Hertfordshire?

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I don't have space for a separate shower, so it is over the bath here... if I had space, I would have a walk in and it would be rectangular, though I haven't given much thought to the size as it just isn't an option.

I really dislike the sliding enclosures though. I'd have one that is long enough to step in without getting water all over the floor. In fact I'd have the bathroom from my favourite hotel suite given half the chance (and a very large budget).

Here, I'm thinking of getting one of those slightly curved shower rails. It's what I use when I stay at the timeshare in America and is a good compromise as it gives you more elbow room while maintaining the same footprint.

Our second en-suite has a velux window in the roof line. It is opened using a pole. That would solve your viewing problem as its angle means no-one could see in.

    Pretties :)

There are 5 planets lined up in the sky this month .... just before dawn, looking south.

Two of those will have been the ones I'd spotted the other night (and have no idea which they are). Five is unusual, so an ideal spot for anybody that can't sleep.

I'll probably end up building 1' inside the boundary and retain the existing boundary fence (that is mine).

The rules may have changed since we did our extension, but then it was (I think) 1 metre or you needed planning permission.

I know antibiotics have been mentioned before. Thought you might find this (very positive) article interesting:

I don't want an "operating panel". I want it to be on/off - and a knob to control temperature :)

    .

That's all mine is , on and off and temp that never moves unless my preference changes.

I've found that everything stays dry, the loo and the vanity unit are fine, maybe I'm not a very exuberant showerer!

Part of the lure of a wetroom was less decisions to make😊
