Don't understand why the "up" is so high.

My results (when I post link says it's not valid...)
    Ping 4 ms
    Download speed 37.37 Mbps
    Upload speed 8.75 Mbps

It's faster in the morning before the US gets up.
My pc has speeded up considerably since my hard drive was replaced by an SSD.

    Nor me.

We don't have that much home generated !!!!!! to upload, so they don't give us much of an upload allowance ;)

Michaels: am I right in thinking you have experience with Now TV boxes?? (Question open to all though :))

Can the aforementioned Now TV boxes be used to watch the catch up services e.g. iPlayer, and what I always want to call 4player (4OD) without subscribing to anything? I suggested it for my mum, but she's returned it to the shop as she didn't want to subscribe... :s

What am I thinking - we have about 10 of the white boxes wating to be ebayed purchased because they come with vouchers that are cheaper per month than the subscription costs (eg Box plus voucher for 2 months movies costs £10, 2 months movies subscription costs £20). PM me the address and I will post one (I seem to remember someone gave me some books at some point so I owe).

We get about 6-7 down and 1 up from memory (so our live !!!!!! stream is only in SD). I would love to get fibre as things do get slow when we have 5 or 6 streams on the go to different devices but this speed is effectively free (including compulsory line rental) whereas fibre seems to be minimum of 15 quid a month :(
    I think....

We have Virgin super fast whats it.

It is split across 2 channels, so the speeds are measured for one channel only. Maybe that explains it.

There's a bomb scare in Liverpool currently! Silkhouse Court on Tithebarn Street.

According to the Liverpool Echo the man with the suspicious package is in the offices of Groves, John and Westrup. They are one of the largest boat insurers in UK. Ruddy Duck is insured with them (as are all of the Seabirds). I wonder if the chap involved was refused a payout on his insurance. ;)

    Cripes!

It brings to mind the old joke.

How many people work at Liverpool docks?
    About half of them!
