Re: arguments and obstinacy, we got caught in an awkward moment at a cousin's wedding in Canada. Australian contingent on one side : English on the other side : Canadians acting as peacekeeper.
Takes some going to involve 3 continents

We live next to the golf course. A few months back Lottie our puppy jumped up at a golfer going into the course in his fresh clean beige golfing trousers. She's too friendly I'm afraid.
We were mortified seeing these dirty paw prints down the front, but he took it in good spirit.
Dogs are good and golf is good. Hence good spirits. Dogs are a good judge of character and having a dogs muddy pawprints is like the very opposite of the Mark of Cain. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I've just realised why we are being forced to watch Santa Dogs 1 ; Santa Dogs 2 - the Bone of Contention ; and Santa Dogs 3 - Slipper of Doom0 -
Our terrier also has an outfit like one of Santa's elves but I'm too distracted by my new computer.

Very nice. Which model?
I use a Dell XPS 13 with the i7 processor. It's not as quick as the full fat quad core HP laptop I have, but it doesn't try and cook your lap either (which I think is on balance a good thing).0 -
I also had to do something to avert disaster during present opening this morning...my sister had not got anything for my brother's son for the second year running. My nephew can be difficult but no child should be left out on Christmas day and my sister should really have been the adult, especially as she knew we would all be opening presents at the same time. He was about to kick off as he felt down about it after watching his sister open a present from my sister.
Luckily, presents get mislaid in the chaos pre present opening so I quietly passed some money to James with instructions to get a card, pop the money in and do it in the name of my sister and family and then pretend he had discovered another present had fallen on the floor (I was also missing a present at this point and a search was underway, so it was an easy cover).
Crisis averted, nephew happy and none the wiser but I think I am going to be in trouble with my sister when she finds out.
I also ended up doing the entire dinner, not quite what I had expected. I knew I would be doing the lion share of it but all of it, nope. I only found out when mum said it was getting late and shouldn't I be getting the meat on, I thought it was already as mum usually does that and then I do the veg, the additional joint of meat and extras...the turkey is usually mum's domain.
Quick google later (I rarely cook turkey, think I have only done it once or twice before and there were instructions on the wrapping previously) and I had sorted the cooking times and in it went....in other words, I winged it whilst keeping my fingers crossed I didn't mess the whole thing up. Thankfully I didn't and it was a great success, even my home made stuffing. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

It's a MacBook Pro. Older model that still accepts DVDs and CDs in case anybody remembers them.
The lovely Mrs zag is to be praised for the brilliant end to to my computing problems.
My old 2006 MacBook was misbehaving in a way that made King Kong look orderly and obedientThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
