I can drive for hours. We drove to Brisbane and back one weekend. We drove most of the way on Friday night, stopping in a motel for a few hours at 4am then drove back on Sunday.
    .

To be a little four yorkshireman about it, I once did 33 hours non stop, apart from fuel and 'comfort' breaks. Heck I was 'ard when I was young. I still like driving, even on tonight's particularly trying drive home, I entertained the idea of going back to driving full time. There's something very relaxing about a long drive, it's just the getting to places that ruins things.

True. What bothers me is the increasing tendency for people to want to silence those they disagree with.

If you mean, possibly amongst other things, the amount of cancelled speakers at universities, I agree. I also agree with Spirit's comments, but in typical fence sitting Gemini fashion find it odd that people disapprove of Trump for wanting to keep people out, then seek to do the very thing they disapprove of themselves. Terribly tiring this seeing things from all sides.

Did anyone else eat half a chocolate orange for breakfast, or was it just me?

I feel sick and need a nap.

I had porridge and berries and a mini blueberry muffin. If it's any help I had a dark bounty when the computer really wouldn't let me in. Stress chocolate, I owe my body to its consumption.

Wiggle is great, highly recommend it (no link other than as a satisfied customer).

It's going to be 35C today and the bloody remote for the air con has stopped working so I can't turn it on! I'm off to the shopping centre where it's nice and cool.

You belong on sites such as wiggle, I pottered off to Amazon.

Could be worse. 35 degrees and no pool. Or here , in the rain.

I really have to disagree with you strongly on your main point. I'm 99.99% sure that it's a comb-over, not a wig.

    It's quite obvious it's a comb-over, no?

Everyone can use wiggle, it really isn't just for weekend warriors. They sell plenty of 'nornal person' stuff at reasonable prices. It's not all £500 triathlon shoes and 8oz bicycles. :D

I have done the decent thing and gone to the club to watch the cricket: air con, cold beer and wifi. Lovely.

I fixed the air con, new new batteries rather than the old new ones I was trying plus shouting.

I also made a hat modelled loosely on the Chrysler Building for Mrs Generali to wear for a Year 6 leaving dinner she's helping with. I was quite pleased with it. Plus I did all my Christmas shopping for Australians, just the Poms to go.

Well done Gen. How's the new house in general? Settling in?

The Chrysler building is still my fave tall building in NY.

Yeah, Empire State and The Rock etc grab all the tourists but Chrysler all the way for me.

I've fallen out of love with my Garmin GPS sports watch :(

Apparently, it has fallen out with my laptop and the two won't sync up, never mind talk.

Perhaps I should enlist a counsellor for mediation ;)

    Technology == love/hate relationship.
