Did anyone else eat half a chocolate orange for breakfast, or was it just me?

I feel sick and need a nap.

No, but it sounds a good idea apart from the feeling sick _pale_

Wheezy! We've missed you. Thank goodness you turned up in time to help Spirit :D

CK I don't suppose anyone looks forward to driving in the Milan area

Sue you are not a wuss.

Chewy Have a lovely time in Oz

OH seems to be feeling Christmassy unwontedly early this year. He has already put some of the decs on display, and has got our little tree out of the cupboard under the stairs, to be put on the coffee table. (so I guess I'll be doing that later.) Some of the decs are Lego ones *rolls eyes* but he loves them :D

He has even bought himself some Christmas socks! Is this really the man who, when his early teen children bought him a pair of Christmas socks for his present, couldn't understand why they got upset when he just didn't "get" that he was supposed to take off his everyday socks and put on the Christmas ones instead?

Probably just you .... I didn't have one to eat else I'd have considered it.

Years ago I had one and loved it ... and it then became "the thing mum always bought me for Xmas". Trouble was, I wearied of this over the years - and then they brought out new flavours and I'd have liked to have tried new ones, so began to dread the excitement mum'd get from me opening another chocolate orange on each Xmas day. :(

I bought them for the kids' stockings. Too early, obviously.

Please, someone, kick me to decorate the goddam tree and wallpaper the back room?

The tree is decorated! The kids can do the other one, although I should do the lights for them.

This tree belongs in a bigger house, but that's what the Doozer wanted! My lounge will feel vast in January.

    Really? .... not forgotten something...?

A tree's only REALLY decorated once it's got chocolate santas and snowmen on it :)

I'll have to give it a miss. The tree will be on the floor in minutes and Doozerdog will be vomiting everywhere, with Twozerdog cleaning up after him. Not a pretty sight.

Surely if a man wearing a wig has the right to say the most ludicrous stuff he can come up with just to get attention then everyone else has the right to start or sign a petition like the one referred to.
Freedom of speech applies to everyone not just tools who want to say something offensive.

I really have to disagree with you strongly on your main point. I'm 99.99% sure that it's a comb-over, not a wig.

Chris Jefferies had the same problem, and he eventually discovered that it's more dignified to let nature take its course.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I am a libertarian by nature but found myself unpeturbed by Anonymous taking down Isis internet channels of propaganda and communication. When there is an evidence base that someones freedom of speech is inciting harm to others, then to knowingly be permissive when you have the means to reduce the risk seems a tad naive.

Those pedalling a vicious ideology are not usually in favour of freedom of speech for views other than their own and play by a very different set of rules, exploiting liberal principles and negating the beneficial variety and diversity that sticking to ones liberal guns hopes to achieve.

    Feeling like a tech dinosaur.

Diabetic clinic appointment and I plugged my blood glucose meter into a machine in the clinic and the results were downloaded and sent directly to the nurse/doctor to appear as a graphic. Pretty techy I thought.

Having completed the down load, I sat back down whereupon an elderly chap( guess late 70's/80's0 started to tell me I could view my own results and could send data to the clinic. A lady (guess mid 70's) joined in to say how useful she found it.

My only consolation was a young man coming in and using the in clinic process too.

I am going to register for the online upload.

You have led me astray. This post had me craving chocolate so I have cracked open a tub of quality street. Had to go out to the pantry . Outside to the garage . In the rain.

OH is bemoaning how his mum used to repurpose Quality street tins as cake tins, and that these days you could not fit a cake into the tubs.

In the diabetic clinic today they had a tub of quality street on the reception counter. If I had not been accompanied by a nurse I would have eaten one, as it was I was sanctimoniously good and declined.
