Edit: just occurred to me.... you'd think someone called Trump would be into wind power :D

Edit 2: actually, is 'Trump' even a 'thing' outside my family?!

Well I know it that way too. Don't know if it's nationwide or a N/S divide thing... I think most folks know it. Of course I stand to be corrected! ;)

I can never find a use for nectar points. DS2 collects and converts to pizza express. Whereas avios can be used for flights, hotels, car rental...

You can open a avios account and then send your avios to someone but they charge for the privilege. £175 to transfer the max 27,000 allowed.

I'm happy to trade nectar points for clubcard points, if there is a way to do it.

Charging to transfer seems to defeat the object somewhat - isn't there a way to share points between 'family'?

I recently converted 700 quids worth of nectar points to 650 cash and 350 quids worth of nectar points - seemed like a good deal :)

I would have thought HMO in cheap house price area the good type tenants are probably the exception.

Parents evening for DD1, first one at big school, generally very pleasing although most teachers obviously don't know which student she is as she was described as quiet....

Only disappointment is maths where she things she is top of her class and could move up because she finds the class work and homework easy but they had a test where she only came out average, seems she was learning to follow the method for each activity but it didn't actually embed plus she kept a bit quiet about what revision was required and I didn't have time to do it with her.

In geography they had refused to mark her assessment as apparently it was obviously not year 7 work but tonight I got to hear that 'our' treatise on the social and environmental impact of the school expansion plans had been circulated throughout the department for use with their A level students....

This weekend we have an awful lot of homework and revision to do as well as various carol concerts and football matches, not sure how I will fit it all in....
    I think....

I'm trying to convince myself that I am confident and will be able to pick Josh up from uni next Wednesday....it's not working at the moment. I don't know why but just recently, my OCD traits have picked up and one of them is a fear of having an accident in the car.

I know I should just (wo)man up but I get so stressed out about my energy levels on these runs, they leave me exhausted not just for the day but for weeks afterwards.

God I sound like a wuss.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

The hope was that there would be a market for decent accommodation near the town centre of a vibrant city for single people new to the town. Aimed at 20-29 year olds, first/ second jobs, new to the city, unable to afford flat rent on their own and not yet knowing people to share with.

I also get nervous about long trips for no reason.

    Me too.

I used to be able to drive 24 hours straight (only stopping once or twice for fuel), but the prospect of driving to somewhere near Milan next week (about 14 hours door to door) to see someone about something for work is terrifying me.

I need to see someone in France and Belgium on the way back, so unfortunately taking into account that the French stop isn't within reasonable distance of an airport, driving is still the best option.

14 hours! I wouldn't just be terrified, it would be a complete impossibility for me to do.

Driving to Ipswich (10 miles away) and back knackers me out, let alone 14 hours...mind you, the Ipswich road system is so poor, it probably exhausts (or stresses) everyone else out too :rotfl:

I get very concerned about things like this. Freedom of speech is, or should be, an absolute right not one that is only available to people we agree with.

I have no strong feelings about freedom of hair.

Oooohhh, won £25 on the lottery tonight! Don't do it that often but decided to have a little flutter.
