To be a little four yorkshireman about it, I once did 33 hours non stop, apart from fuel and 'comfort' breaks. Heck I was 'ard when I was young. I still like driving, even on tonight's particularly trying drive home, I entertained the idea of going back to driving full time. There's something very relaxing about a long drive, it's just the getting to places that ruins things.
...
"Ard" is Ice Truckers !
I only catch glimpses of the show, but that's pioneering spirit when your rig might fall through the ice.
I remember my mother getting cut off by small Avalanches of snow on a road crossing the Rockies : one in front; one behind.
I can imagine it being quite worrying.0 -

Yeah, not bad. It's a bit run down but I've lived in plenty worse.
Four large bedrooms, smallish but well laid out kitchen. Reasonable sized lounge-diner, a few out-buildings. There's a church next door so we wake up to the congregation singing on a Sunday morning which is really lovely.
10 mins drive to school it's and just about cycleable to work (about 10 miles) especially just three days a week.0 -
It's quite obvious it's a comb-over, no?
The only other possibility is that it's a huge double bluff: a wig deliberately made so awful that people assume it must be his own hair.
I don't think Trump cares what people think about his hair, just so long as they're talking about him.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Can I ask the NP's a question ?
I have for the first time in my life signed up for Quidco, and switched my Broadband back to BT using a cashback link on the site.
Can I ask those with the knowledge (or even non Taxidermists) what happens next with the Cashback ?'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Well had you asked me for a referral so we could both have benefitted then I would obviously be more forthcoming.....
But basically first you wait for the transaction to show up in your 'My Activity' tab as status 'Tracked'. Assuming it does then you wait for a few months for the status to change to 'Confirmed' at which point you can withdraw the money to your bank account.
If it does not appear as tracked in the first couple of days you have to submit a 'Missing Transaction' claim through Quidco by completing a form on their website. It will then be investigated and after a few months you may get the money.I think....0 -

I want to buy some Microsoft software but don't fancy the £6K+ asking price.
Can I have a referral to bring it down to a couple of grand please?
(No harm in asking!)0 -

I use Topcashback, and it shows as 'active' on the account there, and once a button is pressed, put into your bank account💙💛 💔0 -

One of my best investments was to pay the extra to have real physical disks when I bought office 2007. I think it was about £10 more than the download only price. Since then I have been able to reload it on to every new computer we have had. If you only have the download it counts up 3 copies and then you need to phone the States when you dump one computer and need to legally download it to another.
Even worked downloading to Windows 10.PasturesNew wrote:...shopping.....

I don't expect they'll buy me a present .... but they'll expect 'something' from me. And, probably not, one random item bought online and delivered.
Really? I would start a conversation, "Just remind me, are we getting each other presents this year?"I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
