What a difference a year makes. keep counting those blessings, they have been hard won.

    So pleased for you.

    What Spirit said. :)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I guess you've been reading the South Australia newspapers then. It's perfect bushfire weather right across the southern half of Aus: baking hot and a strong breeze.

It's one of those count your blessings days over here.

    Oh and I still don't have cancer.:j:T

    Good! :T

Hello GDB, i was thinking of you today and wondering if it was yet the time of year when you build the outdoor dining room from greenery? Apologies I cannot remember the festival name, but i always like your account of dogged and determined compliance to make the occassion right for Mrs GDB.

    i don't recall this years account.Have I missed it?

Thanks everyone but especially to Spirit. It means a lot after all you've been through this year.

I've also been told that they want to start lengthening the gap between appointments which is 2x good news.

Cleaning up in the garden is a blue job in our house. Should I find myself needing to do this job I have a great set of tools. Horse poo scoop and rake. Long handled and enables tipping into a carrier bag for binning.

    Thank you. I have purchased!

Doozer I was thinking about you on Saturday. I was in Lakeland and they had a black bowler hat collander that I thought would fit right in at your place. Wasn't as nice as the lights though.

Haha, yes, I found it. Low stock. I would be tempted if I weren't sorted in that department :)

Gen, you were going through that patch in life when just when you think it can't get any worse, it got worse. I know from your posts you had had hardtimes before for different reasons. You have dealt with it all. I am sure if you lookback at what you have overcome you will like what you see of yourself. You should feel very proud, you have been down, you have had a pausity of support at times from some quarters, you have recognised and voiced the unfairness of it all, yet still kept it all together. Others would have crumbled.

Yep you did miss it, we had our laurel trimmed a while back but I would need to dig out my phone to find out exactly when. The really nice lady who does it always invites us to come and visit their sukkah and we are always too busy which is a shame as I would love for the kids to expand their alternative religions syllabus.
    I think....

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
