I hope all the NP are well and not getting blown away?

I've been away this past week, to somewhere warm.:D

We've had some pretty tasty storms in Sydney you've done well to avoid. In fact the weather has been what we economists call "crap" (sorry for the jargon).
If the answer's 'they lost again' What's the question?

How did Anderlecht go against The Mighty Tottingham?

    COYS!!!

We decided to go down to Portsmouth this morning to look at Gunwharf Quays. It was my idea, as it's my birthday.
We weren't quite blown away, but it was close.
Didn't buy anything, but got to see some things in the "flesh" which was useful. Lots of people there.
We went to Rome last weekend for a long weekend. 20-22 degrees C and sunny. Slightly different to the weather here now!
DS bought me Guinness Book of Records for my birthday. I like to have the latest edition. Someone where he works couldn't understand why he would buy me that. The fact that I had asked for it, and DS buys it for me every year, didn't seem to register with him. DS also bought me some lovely flowers. I'm very lucky.

Is there an entry for the person owning the most editions of the Guinness Book of Records?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Oooops, big oops. I thought Coys must be a player who had done particularly well.

DH takes the edition which has just been superseded to the library at the school where he works.

The storms made the news here.

The big rolling clouds that looked like waves were like something out of an Old Spice advert. Beautiful to watch, dangerous to be around.

    Glad you are safe!

Just on the off chance any of you know...

We had yet another hire car as my car was sick when we were driving back from Sutton Coldfield to home after our London trip to help out with new GD.

So this one was a Hyundai ix35 which I found comfy to sit in once had adjusted seat, plus it's nice an high off the road to get in. OH needs to change his car (DD1 uses it when she visits, and now got 2 kids so needs more space for all their gubbins ;) ), so we're thinking we might get a second hand ix35 as it would also be useful back up if I lose my Motability car.

Anyway, just wondered if anyone had any useful feedback on these cars?

Always worth at least asking! :rotfl:

Saw this app on the Gadget Show. Seemed a really good idea:

    https://www.goodsamapp.org/

Goodsam app. In an emergency, it calls the emergency services but also sends a call out to the mobile devices of registered docs, nurses and first aiders who may be in the area but able to get to the scene of an accident first.

Do any NPs have it/have used it?

Someone suggested it to me when I was looking at replacing Juke1, but it looked biggggggggggg.

Seems that it relies on qualified people to register to respond to random emergencies when they are in the vicinity. Although there are many altruistic people among the professions, I think it is taking it a bit far to expect them to be available to be called via their mobiles.
