I managed to get one of the £99 Dysons at Aldi this week. It is the cheapest of the handhelds and a basic model, but normally sells for about £160-170.
Hopefully this will now mean I no longer risk injury vacuuming my stairs. The cord didn't reach well and my stairs are U shaped so balancing the cylinder without it toppling over was a nightmare.
They did the same offer this time last year and I missed it, so have been waiting for it to come back round again. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? On the subject of keeping house, if anyone is interested, I noticed while book-buying this week that there is a new Marie Kondo book coming out.
Here's an Amazon link:

A quick google suggests that a sprinkler system is not enough. The materials used for building, exit routes, and other factors are all important.

You can imagine that the sprinklers come on, there is a stampede for the Exit, and people get crushed. Maybe all because of a false alarm. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Emergency exits being operative was one of the other things that's come up today, too, as well as not using polystyrene near indoor fireworks......
There are calls for incarceration of the owner of the venue. My personal opinion is that it should be the person that set it up instead.💙💛 💔0 -

Absolutely. our building control will include many different measures to avoid the start and spread of fire, s well as escape routes and signage. I guess that licensing laws will also address the number of persons allowed inside a particular venue.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

So I go from viewing and contemplating one of the most extraordinary works of art ever created last week to arguing with a complete idiot this week.
Life is too short for this crap.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Had a nice day at an art gallery contemplating the work of my favourite artist.
It's a weird place, Dulwich. It feels as though its miles out into Surrey but it's very close to inner city areas like Brixton. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
