On a different subject, have any other hayfever-prone NP noticed that the pollen season seems to be starting? My eyes have started reacting as of yesterday. Yesterday I managed with the eye drops. Today I have taken a tablet, which seems to be working so far.

I am no a sufferer, but mr sSpirit is and he has been rubbing his eyes since theweekend. he gets some respite as his office is on the coast so suffers less at work. He has taken anti histamines at home.

Kiwi stole the piece of toast I made for breakfast. He was like a flying squirrel. He came from nowhere and flew out into the garden.

I managed to gather my wits to yell he dropped the toast, and in told dog dog she could have it.

    Never has such behaviour happened.

Ben will risk all to steal toast.

he was eyeing up my late beakfast this morning ;Herrings in dill marinade, anchovies, tatziki, two slices hm bread and half a lemon in hot water.as PN would say mmmmm.

I really crave those achovies from the deli counter today. I feel I could eat them like a sealion, one after the other, performing tricks for each one if need be. :o. Your breakfast sound yum ( even though I am not a herring person) everything else sounds so good I think I want to move to your house. :). Sounds like a great lunch for the weekend if it stays mild too. :)

Anchovies I am a late convert to. They are amazing with roast lamb and garlic.

I love them full stop, but today I'm thinking of the fat little pickled juicy ones, rather than salted ones or canned ones.

Lets hope it is easier than quitting the smoking was for you.

We may finally get the new car tomorrow, burnishing our green credentials by having an electric one (nothing to do with the fact there is no road tax to pay, fuel is 1/4 the price of petrol and it was on a silly good deal on HUKD)
    I think....

Anchovies have their place, and that place is certainly NOT on a Pizza.

Nigel Slater has a great salsa verde with anchovies blended in it, is amazing. Sadly Mr S is not a convert and whilst I love the idea of lamb and anchovies i am ulikely to get to eat it at home.

I have bargainous anchovies. Iusually buy deli pots from M&S or small kilner jars packed with them from Carluccios.. they are about £8-£9 per jar, however after my trip to Aldi Mr Smade a trip to LIDL as an exploratory venture and one of his finds was kilner jars of anchovies for £2.99, so I am now eating those, they are fine, not as salty but strong and meaty.

I already know it's far easier, I just need it not to be around the place.
