On Monday it will be 25 years since I met Dr Tifosi.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Anchovies have their place, and that place is certainly NOT on a Pizza.

    Thinking about income/savings/pension

Should I give up a net 13k this year to add 25k to my pension. The 13k would be saved into an ISA anyway.

DW earns about 10k pa interest income, no tax cos of her personal allowance. Rather than saving this into ISAs would it make more sense to put it into a pension to benefit from the 'tax relief' on contributions. On retirement she will get full state pension but no other pension unless I pre-decease in which case she will get about 15k pa.
    I think....

We've not been doing much celebrating due to mourning. However we may treat ourselves to a takeaway or something low-key. It's a nice milestone to take our minds off other things.

Early May… apparently. I doubt I'll even be able to find out how to switch it on when it arrives!

I met DW at a party hosted by my dead dog's vet. She (DW) is a cousin of the vet. And we knew the vet because my mother was the vet's wife's gynaecologist.

    Anyway, congratulations Viva.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Congratulations.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
