    CP's expensive I bet.
Ever seen the caravans on Father Ted? That's my experience/budget :)

Does this mean CP is elitist or the price help keeps out the Chavs? That's a tricky one!

    Cheers :)

Unfortunately anybody thinking that, many chavs (on a full raft of systems-worked benefits) have HUGE incomes, so could still turn up at CP. Although the lack of a good pie/chip shop and penny arcades would dissuade them.

Me...I love a £1 bag of chips and £1 in the slot machines.

The people who arrange such things decided to let the bakers choose when they'd have their summer holiday this year, rather than going on a rota, and an awful lot of them have gone away at the same time.....
I've always wondered how the French holidays are worked out. How long do they typically get? I've heard rumours of "shutting for the month of X" in the past and wondered if they do that, and have no other holidays, or if they're awash with days off.

Now get on with your life as you wish, and reflect on lessons learned such as expect to go through the same set of worries next time you have a possible symptom of recurrence and make a mental note of what helped relieve the stress.Maybe it would also be a time to tell Mrs G that you would like her to hold back on things to row about when you are going through such times. Could she let off steam to a friend or counsellor?

Or to paraphrase: walk in and if they don't let you take it, fight them - and when you win, kill lots of people, take what's left. It's yours.

    What a way to think.

Where's the God for: stay at home, do nobody any harm?

    this deserves more than thanks.

Result? On one level yes, but I tend to think that exam results are one of life's lessons which should make you take stock of your education plan. Being flexible to change isn't a bad thing IMO.

I tend to agree with you. My husband says that he spent most of his grammar school years at the bottom of the top set . he would have had a better overall school life had he been in a lower stream.

A better school life but possibly fewer options post school?
    I think....

Spirit I'm sure your Bank Holiday break will be fine. Wishing you good weather :) Whereabouts in France are you going? Am a bit envious that you've been to Borneo! And it wasn't until I saw it on your list that I remembered I've been to Cyprus a few times as well, fancy forgetting that! Lovely place.

The next couple of nights we will be near le mans staying in a hotel we have been to a couple of times. including an occassion when the toddler miss spirit projectile vomited all over the restaurant. Our table was on a balcony and she spewed over the table and onto the diners below.

    It's a tricky one.

I think I am one of those pseudo-middlers.

It seems, regardless of the capability of the set, I find a spot not at the top but just in the upper third or so.

In a lower stream I might end up settling.

Others are completely different, and it's about finding out your own personal approach.
