I just gave way to let Inspector Monkfish and Daisy cross the road in front of me.
They must have thought I was nuts as I waved like I knew them IRL..

How did you recognise them?0 -
How did you recognise them?
I followed the Daisy Palmer Trust on Facebook for a long time. I saw a rather uniquely named cafe and recognised it as her favourite when they go on holiday - then they were there, crossing the road.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Aw, Doozergirl of course no one thinks you're a stalker! It's lovely that you waved to them. They'll have just assumed you were somone they've met in RL xx0

This is kinda coming apart at the seams.
I think we all need to remember that this is the nice people thread.0 -
Sorry. I didn't intend to kick off, it's just when you feel like there's one of those awkward silences.
In other news, seeing as viva has been successful, I've entered the ballot for tickets to Strictly Come Dancing if anyone else fancies a shot at the ballot.
And we have come a step closer to being allowed to build our own house. Not through the woods as we have the planning committee to convince, but the planning officer is recommending approval. I'm not sure if anyone knows how much heartache we went through last time we tried, but this is amazing news for us and I will take the support of the planning officer every day of the week.
When did I shoot past 20,000 posts and not notice? Gutted. Maybe I should delete some!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I did not post because I have been frantically busy. We are now in sunny Norfolk, and that meant that, apart from the drive, all the stuff I had been putting off had to be done before we went.
I have no idea whether anybody here is a stalker, but I doubt it very much indeed. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I think people really are being nice, or trying to be, or at least not trying to be un-nice. But, you lose a bit of communication over the internet. No body language to indicate "I'm only joking". That sort of thing. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Doozergirl Ooh, good luck with both planning permission and strictly ballot! :j
PN Today we have had a big tree at the bottom of our garden cut down because when the tree surgeons came to reduce its height they found it was going rotten at the base.
It gave us privacy, and the birds had somewhere to roost (they weren't pooing on anyone's patio, because of the position of the tree) but on the other hand the people who live "over the back" will have a sunnier garden, and it won't end up in their garden (or house!) during a storm.0
