I'm surprised there are only a handful of Center parcs for example. Scotland would be a fantastic place for a few of these parcs.PasturesNew wrote: »The answer is "No". The reason is the rain.
That's a good excuse to cover big chunks of the UK with center parcs- style tropical leisure domes as in those vintage future scenarios of domed weather-controlled cities.:DThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

You need to go to a CenterParcs type place PN.
It doesn't matter if it's wet or cold.
In fact, quadbiking is better with a bit of mud.
As Zag says the indoor complex with swimming pool is great to come into out of the cold.
Coming down heated water rapids style slides when it is snowing - great fun
It's expensive which is the only real downside.
(especially if you add in the activities or grab a sauna pamper session).0 -

Too many other people, and I don't think I would like to be enclosed in any sort of bubble. I hate being enclosed and have to have the window open all year round. Don't do sauna or pampering - I am really very low maintenance...0 -
I wouldn't dream of speaking for PN, but for myself what you are selling as its attractions I would pay not to go...

It must sound claustrophobic but it's a well-designed place (I don't own shares in it or anything). The domed area is massive and you feel you've plenty of space. Part of the pool's outside (well in some of them it is).
The layout of the villas in the residential zones is brilliant. You have a view that doesn't overlook anybody- feels like you've got a forest and sometimes a lake to yourself. Very cunningly laid out streetplan. Town planners should study it.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Ever seen the caravans on Father Ted? That's my experience/budget
I'd rather be in the Father Ted caravan than stuck here in the sodding cancer ward waiting to see Dr JJ. <<very nervous smilie>>0 -
Well there's no place for me on the chemo waiting list because........I don't have cancer!!!!

Gen, that's spectacularly, fantastically, wonderfully brilliant!
There aren't enough superlatives to say how pleased I am for you.
How will you celebrate tonight? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
