I wouldn't have thought Chessington in August on a dry day was the place to be if you don't like queuing.

My only tip is to start at the back and work forward.

I think it might, only might, be a day of not actually rushing around today......I may be talking too soon though.

In other news, my niece has had her place at uni confirmed. Bit of a strange one, on results day she didn't collect her results despite going to the town where her college is and because she didn't, her parent's had to confirm them with the exam board....and then she didn't chase up UCAS track or speak to her uni (as it hadn't changed/updated) until she finally got nagged into it yesterday.

Going well for my parents, the three old enough grandchildren all at uni despite none of their children going (Open university for two children, me and my brother, not counted)
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I'm definitely going native. My first thought was, 'that's a rubbish shark bite'.

You don't want to go to Benidorm Gen. It looks like this lad has been bitten by a Great White :rotfl:

viva, I hope that the fact you didn't come back on here means you did get back to sleep soon after posting.

Gen, good to hear the boy's OK.

My kids promised me a really long lie-in for my birthday - said they wouldn't wake me until 10. But then one of my oldest and dearest friends rang me up to sing Happy Birthday to me at 8:45. Oh well. It was lovely to hear from her.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

A great white what though? Cod perhaps.:rotfl:

We had a motivational speaker at work who'd been bitten by a great white (I think it was a great white) in Sydney Harbour while in the navy. He lost an arm and a leg and about a billion pints of blood (I confess not to paying 100% attention at that point). That was a single bite.

That would motivate you not to go swimming?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Not me. You're more likely to get drowned than bitten by a shark let alone killed.

The most dangerous animal in Australia by number of deaths caused is the European Honey Bee with ~11 a year. Spiders haven't killed anyone since the 80s when anti-venom was created and snakes probably get a similar number to sharks. They don't want to eat people, why would they be adapted to eating something that doesn't exist in their environment? It's almost always inquisitive jouveniles that 'attack'. They are basically checking you out with the most sensitive part of their body. It's just a bit unfortunate that it's also the bitiest part of their body.

And I just realised that your joke went straight over my head. Like the sharks will continue to do I hope. <<banging head against brick wall smilie>>

    Happy birthday!

Never phone anybody before 10am, for any reason other than an emergency - unless the call's expected.

    :)
