Was watching BBC breakfast this morning half asleep, was some item on about Scottish farming, saying it's been such a wet summer and crops were suffering.
Surprising because around our way (SW London/Surrey borders) it's dry. Dry dry dry....
I think the last decent rain we had was 3 weekends ago. We have 2 water butts, both 500 liters, that have been standing empty for most of summer.0 -
Luton airport pick up. Short stay is £7, drop off zone is £2.50. drop off zone is 15 minutes only. So do I waste petrol circling round local roads to nip into drop off zone or do I pay out £7 for 40 minutes in short stay?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Side street just before the roundabout (the one before the tunnel) in front of the Ibis hotel. Surprised to see double yellow lines on the picture...I'm pretty sure they weren't painted yet when I was there....0 -
Can't you pick up and drop off for free in the mid stay that is a 2 min free bus from the terminal and much easier to get to than the short stay?I think....0

Yes you can, but you can only stay there for 30 minutes before the price shoots up.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Neither. It's just the way wives are. Always cold.
Take care buddy.
Yep. I caught something on the radio just the other day about how air conditioning systems in large buildings have been calibrated all wrong because they've used the figures for the average number of people likely to be in the building multiplied by the rate of heat output of a male body, whereas in fact women's metabolic rates are significantly lower, so we put out less heat than you do.
Disparity of preferred night time room temperature certainly true in my marriage just as much as yours and Wheezy's.I might have cancer but I don't think that the symptoms are close to conclusive.
I would have thought the most likely to be conclusive was the lump, and if they've ruled that one out then things are looking very promising. Not that that's likely to make it any less scary. Hoping for a really quick process and short wait until you get your other results. Was watching BBC breakfast this morning half asleep, was some item on about Scottish farming, saying it's been such a wet summer and crops were suffering.

We've had a little rain here, but not much. Not much sun, either, though. Most days cool, dry, grey, overcast...Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Well that worked well, they phoned while I was on the approach road. So could go straight into the pick up zone for £2.50.

I have to have the window open when I am in bed. Doesn't matter what the weather is doing.0 -
Other way round in our marriage. Also my friend with the same first name as me. We both need fresh air and cool temperatures - not just down to time of life!
I have to have the window open when I am in bed. Doesn't matter what the weather is doing.
Mr Bugs wanted everything semi-tropical, whereas I am of the Eskimo persuasion and always have been.
Good luck Gen , it sounds promising.
Bathroom finally completed :Dand looking forward to the first shower in over two weeks. You never feel clean with just a strip wash.:(0
