Our pear tree is an absolute mass of blossom now.
Ours are in a cold spot.they get the sun, but not all winter, not they get it all day, apart from the one on the end, but they also get air a couple of degrees colder than one would imagine because of the airsource heat pump location!
There is a funny tree over the road that it NOT a pear nor a medlar but looks like something related to one or the other.....and that's been in blossom a while and looks lovely.0 -
I need some help here, I am wasting my time online mostly because I should be doing the washing up but am knackered and don't fancy it, but if I don't do it now it will be another late night and then I will be even more knackered tomorrow....I think....0

I've never had such a thing. Or gardening leave either. The best I've had was maternity pay for a maternity leave that began the day after my contract finished anyway. But that's a statutory entitlement given that I was working for that school on the "qualifying date" in my pregnancy.
Best I have had is 3 weeks garden leave.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
Quit day job to run 3 businesses 08/02/2017
Started third business 25/06/2016
Son born 13/09/2015
Started a second business 03/08/2013
Officially the owner of my own business since 13/01/20120 -

Happy (belated) birthday, Mas!
Any Nice Peeps been to Vegas and can advise on things to see/do outside the city? Within driving distance - for a day trip. Been looking at Hoover Dam/Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon. Nice? Other ideas?
Hoover Dam/Lake Mead... Have been to plus Lake Powell from Vegas, nice trip, going onto the dam was amazing. Also to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Hard to get your head round the vastness.
A bit further away but worth considering are Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park in Utah. Realistically, Utah is a long way away from everywhere, so Vegas is as easy a route in as any.Best I have had is 3 weeks garden leave.
I got six months salary, three months notice and a one year paid contract. Do I win? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
