Heavy, heavy rain here and a not significant amount of electrical activity. Have lost half of my tv channels so wonder if a transmitter has been hit. Last time we had a big storm I had no phone and limited broadband for five days. Unusual by British standards but nothing by Aussie ones.

Snow here in the Blue Mountains. English drizzle in Sydney though.

We're having a cold winter this year. Apparently it's causing problems as homeless people are hitch-hiking up to Queensland to escape the cold putting pressure on their homeless provision.

How much does that cost? I've got three and it's on my "to do" list, but I've no idea how much anybody'd quote.

I'd like them to stick one of those hedgehogs in it too.

I'm working with a much respected tiled roofing consultant on my project.

Hedgehogs are not good. They don't alleviate any problem, can make it harder to clean out when the leaves are impaled and can also cause more of a problem if the leaves form a cover over the hedgehog and the water pours straight over and misses the guttering altogether.

I thought they looked like a good idea, but this lady knows her shizzle and if she says no, I wouldn't do it.

Good heavens, I hope they don't make it to my uncle's house, he's a sucker for a sob story and always taking in waifs and strays... I do feel sorry for the people but my uncle is terminally ill... in spite of this he'd still throw his doors open.

Clearly tired, as I just wondered what use fly screen would be to me getting through today!
