Ah, another complication....he will only text and not call! Awkward little begger....
He would be more likely to text me to tell me he is lost, well actually no he may not as he doesn't have an abroad calling plan and will not think/realise that he would be able to contact someone in an emergency, he will only think "Can't use the phone, it costs extra over here"
Welcome to the world of Josh's Aspergic logical mind with added lack of processing skills, memory issues etc. It can be very frustrating at times....what makes perfect sense to you or I, never enters his mind.
Re the map/hotel name, he will forget the instruction, so I will ask one of his friends to remind him of it when they get there or to get one for him.
He really does have the memory of a fish and that is if he understands the instruction in the first place (he has a verbal understanding disability related to his brain injury, what might seem simple to understand to the rest of us, he finds almost impossible or will take a different meaning of it). He can be told something, only to have forgotten the entire conversation (even having the conversation), 5 minutes later. This goes for everything else, he doesn't remember if he has changed his underwear, eaten food, had a bath etc. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

From what I read, Lance backtracked BTQ. J'en ai plus rien à foutre (NSFW) what Lance has to say about dopers after what he did.vivatifosi wrote: »He has said that at the end of the tour he will submit to extensive testing. He also said that he has advantages as an elite athlete that other athletes just don't have - for example his heart rate at full tilt is still lower than other athletes.
I don't know if you remember Miguel Indurain, a Tour winner. He was superb in the mountains. He didn't attack, he just set a steady pace that nobody else could deal with. His ability, apart from the usual huge amounts of work and training, came from his lung capacity being about double that of the average man.
Some of these guys are simply freaks of nature.vivatifosi wrote: »I hope he is clean too. Although they are marmite, I quite like what Sky has done for cycling in the UK. I don't want them to be tainted. If they are tainted, Brailsford will be tainted and if Brailsford is tainted, the whole UK team will be. I just can't see that personally.
I think what Sky has done for cycling in Britain is fantastic. They have won and they have won in the right way: clean (IMHO). Any taint of doping and you're out of the team. They have taken the de-NAZIfication approach of the Allies after WW2, if you'll excuse me the over dramatic and possibly tasteless analogy.0 -
The way Sky have completely changed Cyling and made what is meant to be a professional Sport look like rank Amateurs is what really rankles with the cycling world (plus they are English)
I heard a guy on the Radio this morning saying how poorly run most teams are in comparison with Sky. He likened Tinkoff sacking his team manager a few weeks before the Tour and doing the job himself to Jeremy Darroch sacking Brailsford and talking to Froome through his earpiece during the race.
Sky ride in such a controlled fashion and with such precision that when they get their tactics right nobody can live with them. I feel sorry for poor Bertie Contador. He rode virtually all the Giro on his own against the whole of the Astana team, and now he is left alone trying to fight Sky, Movistar and BMC all on his todd again.
Tinkoff might be rich but he is a complete idiot.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
It's very quiet here!No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

It is rather! Good Morning GDB
Sue are you doing okay? I hope you didn't stay awake worrying all night
Soooo happy, we were finally able to get a man to come and clear our gutters. It was only the back one that was blocked, but the pigeons were using it as a birdbath, flapping and splashing joyously just above DS's bedroom window. No more0 -

It's very quiet here!
I've even been confused as to which day of week it is I have been sleeping so much. Chatting a step too much.
Unless you want moaning?
If I was awake we were going to see a friend one day this weekend. But RP has taken my keys when leaving yesterday. Fir would probably not be relying on me to get home tonight anyway ( I will not drive when I feel compromised, its a line I will NOT cross) but it does rather limit activity!
I suggested they try and meet today to exchange keys but where fir works now you cannot just wander in, and he cannot have his phone on to meet outside.0 -
A hahahaha
I found the spare key. Of course. Its where I put it, in the spare key box. That's why no one knew where it might be, its where it SHOULD be.0 -
