If they offer me, for mine, what they're asking for theirs .... they'd find it difficult to do their removals with their arms missing. :)

I've been wondering whether to move, or 'improve'. But I figure if I do the work I think I'd want/need to make it 'better' imho .... I'd still end up with issues that niggled me.

DQWD... Or may delete, we'll see.

    I've hit the Gin!

Phone call this morning over insurance on old home from EA, question from purchaser. OH got straight on to insurance company, they emailed a letter clearing the matter up, OH sent it straight on to EA who sent it on to purchaser's solicitor before she went to lunch. 3pm OH called EA again to see what was happening. They called purchaser's sol to find she had gone home!   Checked with our sol, no exchange.

Suspect there's something going on here, but if they expect to complete on Monday I suspect they may have another think coming. I wonder if they've changed their minds.

So for now OH is clearing some of the few remaining boxes at old home, then we are going to go and do some gentle weeding down the lottie and maybe make a wigwam type thing to plant some sweet peas on. Our sweet peas are gasping to get into soil!

Thank goodness we have the peace and quiet of the lottie to go and visit!

Oh, and to add insult to injury the insect bite I had a week or so ago finally improved yesterday, but have developed a sensitivity to the sticky stuff on the high tech bandage I was using to protect it :( (it's right at the inner top of thigh, so catches on clothes etc) so instead of smallish bite now have HUGE red and itchy patch  that I've got ice bag wrapped in towel on to try cool it down. These sort of things are systemic, so feel like sh*te as well as freaked out over house stuff.

Snuck in - but didn't want to sneak back out without sending you some vibes (a handful or a box - whatever you'd prefer!) Maggie. Hope it's not as bad as you fear and gets sorted out easily on Monday x

Don't worry Maggie. If they had wanted to pull out they would have pulled out, not asked more questions.

Is there a particular reason why you wouldn't want them to complete on Monday, given that you don't live in old house anymore and gazundering isn't a threat in terms of wrecking the deal and the subsequent move?

Sorry to hear about your back maggie. I've been seeing an exercise physio about mine. Is that a possibility for you?

Oops, meant to reply to this but got caught up with Life Happening. :o I've been to a decent chiropracter before, but suspect he may have retired by now, and wouldn't want to go to a different one unless through personal recommendation. I'm not sure how helpful an exercise physio could be for me, as most exercise I just can't do. Post exertional malaise (or you could call it Payback) make it difficult for me to do anything much. Everything I do at the lottie I have to do sitting down, even walking the approx 20 yards from car to seat on patio in front of shed is difficult. I recover there for a while before moving to lottie proper, OH puts a chair ready for me where I need to be.

We've just been so messed around by their useless solicitors that I haven't managed to do stuff at old home that I need to do. OH is tied up tomorrow, and I suspect that I will be very hard pushed to do what's necessary on sunday. I know we should have cleared out more stuff sooner, but OH's Mum in nursing home, selling her flat (and clearing it) etc didn't help either.

They've had since Feb to ask questions and get themselves sorted out so am p*ssed off that they've been so last minute, plus they were supposed to exchange today and haven't.

Edit: We've spent most of the last 2 days sitting around at home waiting for phone calls too.

It's almost like you jumped forward in time in a modified delorian and returned with grays sports almanac.

    Almost.

Good peeps who know the Thameslink route well. If I need to get from say, St Albans to Straford in London, what's the best way? I can't see an interchange with either the Jubilee or Central lines, any ideas? Or train to St Pancras and then Javelin to Stratford?
