Can you access a folding bike? 5 miles should be just about doable if there's a shower at the other end.0 -
I just switched my Inner Herts day this week from Friday to Thursday - all to avoid a 30 minute stroll along the embankment - and because tomorrow is DD1 birthday and 'move up day' at school where she spends a day at 'big school'
Vibes (not the PN mechanical sort nor the Percy 'push my bannister at the top or bottom and it lights up' type) to Maggie, LIR and really anyone else who fancies them, I am an equal opportunity viber :grouphug:I think....0 -

Had to go to the city centre today but instead of the tube on the way back, enjoyed a bus ride to avoid the early tube rush. Buses were slow but trains were late anyway. So it goes.
Sending out positive vibes to lir, Yorkie1 and maggie.
I think lydiaj may be very busy right about now.
Masomnia, I presume job and social life are all-encompassing right now. Hope you're enjoying your sojourn in the Big Smoke (as virtually nobody here actually calls it). There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
usually I am a fairly calm person, not one to act the drama queen, but tonight i have had a flashback to a long buried recollection of a horrible time .
I spoke about it in some detail and became breathless , tense and flushed. This set my arms off into a fairly violent shaking episode.
Mr Spirit intervened and my distress lessened over the next couple of hours. On going to bed I was considering whether I was having a panic attack or another heart attack. I have settled on panic attack , and come downstairs to drink lemon in hot water and read the NP thread in search of the familiar to comfort myself and find solace.
Told myself to pull myself together and need to dig deep to reinstall my resilience. Bit of a ramble.0 -

The NCA (which includes what used to be SOCA) is the relevant authority for money laundering and it receives all of the reports of money laundering which get filed. I expect every time a Russian buys a property the agent and solicitor file a SAR to cover themselves and that the NCA does nothing about it.
Furthermore many of the properties which are he subject of this sort of activity are held within foreign corporate envelopes which can be bought or sold without the money passing through a UK bank account and without any verifiable evidence (outside the books and records of the relevant estate agent and solicitor, neither of whom are regulated by the FCA) that the property has changed hands.
Who knew? Oh yeah, you
I still reckon we should bung a few Estate Agents in gaol pour encourager les autres.0 -

Crivens Spirit. Hope you're okay now.
Sending vibes (not the dodgy PN type either) from across the oceans.0 -
I am OK, just not myself, and trying to settle the anxiety the best I can. fwiw I can now cofirm that a heart attack and acute anxiety/panic attack feel very similar except the panic makes you want to escape/flee whereas a heart attack makes you feel you want to be still and relaxed to limit damage. Based on a 100% sample of me for those who like rigour behind such assertions.0

cracked it. A potter around this site and some kind words from Gen and Lir was enough to deflate me, no breathing normally and no panic.
It is just as well I am not of a nervous disposition as I would be a wreck If I regularly felt like that. going to go to bed now. Thanks NP.0 -
Good luck to everyone trying to get to work on tubes and trains today.
Spirit, hope you feel a bit better this morning, can you go to gp for peace of mind? Oddly I was at mine yesterday as I had something going on in my chest, turns out I've pulled a muscle in my chest, but my point being that she was extremely reassuring and an excellent first point of call. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
