Ah ha - I'd missed the end of the 3 day blip
Sounds like a really good balance of together/ separate families to me. Well done(also to DS2 for graduating of course!)
Out of interest, was graduation by Southbank? If so, where did you go for dinner - have a friend graduating tomorrow looking for somewhere, pref. pretty traditional British food (e.g. steak) pref. Southbank/ Blackfriars type areas. Any suggestions?
Best traditional English food is at Rules. Covent Garden though.
Otherwise there's the place on The Cut where we had the meet up. Name escapes me.
Most of the pubs in Borough Market have decent grub.0 -
Hope all goes well LIR.0

Ta. I did suggest that if you can't find somewhere around Borough Market then there's not much I can do to help.
If it were my parents and my graduation (:o) I'd happily make them travel a little. As it isn't, and I don't think any of the party are that familiar with London they needed to keep it simple. Food-wise too (I think I'd be able to drag my family anywhere to eat). And if I EVER manage to graduate again, I'll sacrifice some mortgage overpayments so we'll not be limited by budget! I'm probably more likely to win the lottery first anyway.
silvercar - no idea why I thought the graduation would be in London. Maybe wires crossed with zag jr? Apologies. If it was Manchester I'd be suggesting cocktails in the Northern Quarter (and grab some food in between cocktails). With a stop off in my favourite - a cocktail bar that looks like a pawn shop from the outside (does a fab 'pawn star martini').

Glad you posted LIR, I've been stalking your profile for the past week or so ... conscious that you've been quiet, but often logged in.
I've just ordered a new big box of vibes, just for you - so I don't run out!0 -
From dusk till pawn? Many a happy night spent in there. We used to go in Noho quite a lot. And I used to like Matt and Phreds (the jazz bar) but others weren't as keen.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

Has anyone heard from Lydia?
The NPT has been relatively quiet, but Lydia even more so. Hoping it's either end-of-term-itis or that she's way too busy having fun to post...0
