A few pictures from my weekend.
I am never quite sure which is more satisfying when getting good pictures.
1, Getting the picture.
2, Giggling at those around you with kit worth x3 more with no idea how to use it failing to get the picture.
Now entering a busy few weeks with the business so no rest for me.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Percy, great pics. I've never managed to get pics like that at Silverstone, more blurred red streaks than anything else. We're you in the complex section, by Luffield? Trying to recognise the grandstand and section of track.
Did you have a good time? Was it your first? I enjoyed the race on tv even though Hamilton won, so hope you had fun being there. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Re dementia there is a standardised set of tests to diagnose different sorts of dementia.
It is worth seeing a doctor for a diagnosis as:
1. If it's not dementia her mind can be put at rest
2. If it is, some forms can be treated or !!!!!! with medical and lifestyle intervention. Even Alzheimer's has a couple of drugs which retard its progress.
In general terms, use it or lose it was the advice we got for keeping Dad's brain as well as possible for as long as possible.0 -
Sounds great. How was dinner?
(and is that GF in the present or past tense?)
Dinner was just us with DS2. GF was out celebrating with her family.
This is the same GF that he has been seeing for the last 18 months, other than the 3 day blip when they split up at the end of term.
We then drove back after dinner, leaving DS2 to meet up with her family after dinner and he is going to stay with her for a few days.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Went in 2013 (the year of exploding tyres).
I took the top 2 at luffield through a metal fence believe it or not. The final one was from my seat at club just after the safety car came in.
Had a quick look at the TV coverage and it didn't show Kimi go sideways on the pit straight in the wet.
I will say the support races are great too they had a lot going on.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

I wonder if they mis-priced it, by leaving a trailing "0" off when they changed the price.
Roofing resin costs around £2 a kilo, though. Are there different qualities of resin? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Ah ha - I'd missed the end of the 3 day blip
Sounds like a really good balance of together/ separate families to me. Well done(also to DS2 for graduating of course!)
Out of interest, was graduation by Southbank? If so, where did you go for dinner - have a friend graduating tomorrow looking for somewhere, pref. pretty traditional British food (e.g. steak) pref. Southbank/ Blackfriars type areas. Any suggestions?0 -

Presumably it is not difficult to get pictures of the Honda engined cars without speed blur :rotfl:I think....0 -
TBH, it's Mum who's fearing it might be dementia. I don't know enough about the symptoms to make that conclusion. I know that some physical diseases can produce neurological symptoms, but over the last few months she's been reporting a number of mental changes.
Yorkie, sorry to hear your mum is reporting changes in your dad's cognitive status. Has he had any physical illness in the last couple of years or is he taking any medication that has confusion as a side effect? I ask because i know I come across as slower reacting, forgetful and a bit muddled now, and have only ventured out alone in places where i am well recognised and there are lots of people about.
In my case it is not dementia just brain injury and post illness recovery time.0 -

I was worried that it looked rude for us all not to go out for a celebration dinner together, but I didn't want "the kids" to look back in years to come and regret that their memories were of an ex GF/BF. Hope that her folks thought the same and didn't think we were snotty southerners.
In the same vein, I made a digital collage of pictures of the day and included one group photo of him with his course mates of which the GF was one, rather than a photo of the 2 of them together.
Graduation was Manchester, can recommend Albert's restaurant or Albert's Shed if you want somewhere more central, but I suspect the south bank of the Ship Canal wasn't what you meant.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
