There is a book called "What colour is your parachute" by Richard N Bolles.
OH read this when he was 'let go' in the late 80s. It served him well.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I'd be trying to look upon this as the universe giving me a kick up the behind to focus on looking for the next thing. Yeah, would be nicer if you'd found that next thing first, but never mind. You're in a fantastic position financially, knowing there is a lump sum coming at the end of the year. Gives you a certain amount of flexibility/ comfort. I know it's earmarked, but it could be used to cover the mortgage/ bills fora good few months if necessary.

DS2 knows one of the people that is renting the student house he has just left. New person got permission from the landlord to leave some stuff there on the last day of DS2's tenancy (with DS2 consent) to save having to leave it in a car overnight. So new person turns up lunch time on the last day of DS2 tenancy, to find the professional cleaners nearly finishing. So the landlord had sent in cleaners before the tenancy had intended, so was going to do a professional clean whatever state the property was left in.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Sorry to hear the news lj.
My business is also going through a major change, it was supplying one single product, rather successfully over the last 15 years. Now the supplier has stopped manufacturing, so that is it. Finished.
Can't you just get someone in China to make it for you instead?I think....0 -

Keep some examples of the product. When I was a kid, everybody drank a soft drink based on crystals. Gorgeous it was. They stopped making it after several corporate takeovers and in the end nobody could find the recipe. Some guy found he still had a tin of the stuff and got a pretty penny for it I do believe, they manged to recreate it and its on sale again. To the delight of dentists everywhere. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
