For a BBQ for one ... take a look at Youtube videos and Google to make your own - out of a small grill from an old PC fan and a tuna can/similar
Or, sack it off and just get the frying pan out....0 -

I've got a small bbq that was given to me, and I'll cook enough for a few meals. It's mint green and very cuteAnd it's lit! :j If I'm very quiet tomorrow, I've probably given myself food poisoning.

I'm more of a HP girlAnd I bought a big pack of burgers today (well, they were on offer...) so there are plenty in the freezer! Ready for next time
Edit: inspired by Wheezy I even bought some sardines. No Belgische bieren tonight though (think I've only got Le Chouffre left which might leave me waking up outside ).0 -
Oh my goodness!
To be fair, there was always the risk, one supplier, one distributor, me in the middle. Many reasons along the way why it could have fallen apart, including exchange rate movements, competitor product. In the end the supplier decided they could use that production line for something more profitable and just stopped producing. So I always knew the risk was there but the end wasn't for a reason that was predictable in the slightest. Originally we thought it would be run for half the time it did and make a quarter of the profit it generated so we were careful.
Onwards and upwards. But I am at the point where I have got too used to working for myself to want to do what I did before.I've taken today off. The past few weeks have been tiring. Lots going on in and out of work. Lots of thinking about the future (I spent this week on a 'leadership' course. When I got the invite I assumed it was a mistake).
My house is a tip. The garden isn't looking great either (the front in particular looks abandoned). I'm going to spend the day regaining some semblance of control then treat myself to a BBQ.

I've seen these working at somebody's house and know they produce a good/long light (well into the night).
EDIT: They came onNot as bright as I know they're capable of, but they'll be better tomorrow
And/or they'll look brighter when it gets to proper dusk and dark.
Sounds pretty - we got some light strings to put on the front tree (it was on hot uk deals, buy the 80p newspaper, get the £10 solar lights for 'free' and were so impatient on the first day that I stuck the batteries in the charger so we could see what they looked like. The plan is that in the winter we have a little bit of sparkliness to come home too (and recognise which is our house).
Should you have some money, don't forget the thing I told you about the pension - put in 2880 each year and take out 3600.I think....0 -

Not sure I understood it to be honest.... the other thread you started didn't seem to go anywhere... at least, anywhere I could follow.
How would you explain it to a 6 year old?0 -

Just got your storm I think. Was fast asleep but there's no way you'd sleep through this. Lightning so active it's like a paparazzi flash... strobing almost, with thunder like a freight train and very heavy rain. Now I think I can hear hail.
