Further to this posting, I went to look at this yesterday.

Previously sold Nov 2013 for £167,000

Nothings been done to it, and it's still a dump and might also need some structural repairs. I wouldn't be surprised if it makes £210,000 at the Auction. So someone could pocket a 25% profit for the 18 months they've owned it. If it sells for any more it'll be Auction fever.0 -

So will you attend the auction?I think....0 -
is he OK or is he sad?
He is sad and now thinking about whether he made the right decision.
I've told him to think carefully what he wants and not to try to get back together just because she is upset, but that if wants to try to make amends he should do so sooner rather than later.
I do wonder if she was putting pressure on the relationship by wanting some sort of commitment given they don't know if they will be in the same town after the Summer.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. So will you attend the auction?
No. I'm quite interested in a 'project' but this one doesn't fit the bill. Embarrassing to say, but I've got some spare cash that needs parking.I'm finding all asset classes a bit 'toppy' at the moment, and indecision (as I continue to dither)is one thing I hate!
I'll let you know what it sells for.0 -

I'll let you know what it sells for.
I would be more than happy to look after it for youIn return for a small fee of course.
What have I missed? Is this your lodger going?
Yes. This was always the plan - family are rejoining from far away (very outer Herts) imminently. They didn't get kicked out
Just back. Everything moved from mine (about 8 car journeys...), table and chairs collected from another house and reassembled. Sofa bed also reassembled - which had been been sat in my bedroom for the past 10 months. So now my bedroom looks huge and I won't stub my toes on it every time I walk past
V tired now. Got up extra early to pick up the paint :j for my new railings :j before we went to the letting agents to pick up the keys. Looking forward to a lie in tomorrow. Going to turn the radio up LOUD and do some cleaning first though0 -

Given how hard you found it living with a lodger where you set the rules I am a little concerned about your tolerance for being in a relationship where it is give and take....I think....0 -

I've said many times that I'm well suited to spinster hood
But I was conscious that I shouldn't be nagging a fee-paying colleague (now definitely a friend). If it was MY husband I'd be able to nag to implement my rules
If it's any consolation, they are largely none the wiser regarding my intolerance
Edit: plus the house needs a clean. And I'm not that much of a nasty person... whilst I'm hopefully having a lie in, I've said they're welcome to use the key they haven't yet returned to borrow the Internet to Skype family as no broadband in new place yet. I might be intolerant but I can be nice sometimes too0 -
