I know where mine is. Still use it v rarely. Main use is for friends who need a cheque writing to pay for kids school photo's, & they don't have a chequebook. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

In the end I did an odd thing with blankets, around head and body on the sides that didn't touch fir at the time, and kiwi obligingly curled up next to my feet ( he can be a little grumpy about any movement in the bed) the cats helped too. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

(Because James are playing there...)
I can see part of it from the spare bedroom, which is useful for the fireworks display. Parking can be awful on race day I imagine worse during school holidays, it is normally good apart from that. When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0 -

Oh yes but this time, it is very much deserved. It IS an outstanding school in so many ways, regardless of what OFSTED say.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Duvet cover without the duvet inside it?0 -
Not sure that bit of herts counts as Inner Herts proper....
OTOH crossrail 1 will mean that we are 22 minutes to Farringdon then 8 mins to Canaray Wharf or 32 mins to LHR which would transform a couple of the commutes I have done in my life.
Presumably this rail route will be going through the Liverpool-NI tunnel to reflect the Irish taxes paying for it.0 -

If we could get Aus to chip in we could build a downward spur for a 42-minute branchline to Antipodean Herts.
It'll match the transglobal downtrain between Earls Court and the antipodes which is the obvious explanation for the high Aussie population density in that one part of London.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

About once a decade we seemed to be promised a space plane that will go from Middlesex to NSW in a couple of hours. It'll probably never happen as people won't pay the premium.0 -

I won't even pay the premium to fly Biz class to Aus as I can tolerate half a day in cattle class and like stopovers in Asia too much.
Although must confess I'm getting so sick and tired of UK budget airlines for work at the moment that an economy class around the world on a flag carrier would feel like luxury...“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
