The man behind me in the queue was buying biscotti. They looked lovely. I was well behaved and just got milk and half price tomatoes.

To balance things out I'm partaking in a glass of red wine day in the garden to celebrate the sun being out :)

Lovely. I took a cup of tea out earlier but the sun went in!

Sun's out here, but it's too windy to sit out.

This is what I've always said conservatories are for: sitting "out" when it's too wet, windy, cool - which covers 99% of the days when the sun is out.

    Hello from the coast!

Fir is off to work now ( this being a busman's holiday of sorts) and I'm waiting for our room to be ready. So I can get the legs up and have a rest before meeting him and friend this evening.

The exciting part of this morning is that a few years ago we decided to buy a piece of art each year of our marriage. We have bought still life for the cheese room till now but this morning we bought one of this artist's woodblocks

It will remind us of our Brighton trip

    I like these. good decision.

We've clouded over. But I did wake up this morning to a tiny arc of rainbow, followed later by a much bigger double one. Should be at the lottie, but am still totally knackered after yesterday's gallery trip. Just did the Catch Up thing on "Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell" from last Sunday - very Carringtonesque! Especially the sand horses.

<Re-lurks, having given away liking for LK Bennett.>

Do unlurk some more. You are very welcome here. And liking LK Bennett is probably not enough to identify you IRL. ;)

I do not usually have much to do with LK Bennett. They don't cater for my price bracket. I actually only went into the shop because I was waiting for a friend who'd gone to the loo, and wandering round the shop was a more inviting prospect than standing outside it.

When I got in I found they did clothes as well as shoes, and remembered that I am down to my last pair of work trousers, having worn out all my previous ones. So I looked at trousers in my size and found some that looked promising. I tried them on and was just coming out of the fitting room when my friend came back.

I said I wasn't sure they looked right. She said the reason they looked wrong was because I still had casual clothes on my top half, and I should try on a jacket to get the proper effect. I returned to the rail and found a jacket, and then realised it was a matching jacket, and now behold I have a suit. Although I can't wear it until I have taken up the legs a little.

That's what I use mine for. It was one of the big selling points of this house when I bought it. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

I've spent the day being in shock...my sister in law went to my parent's house in her pyjamas as she was feeling unwell (e.g she had a hangover although she denied it).

I would never ever, no matter how ill I felt, go outside the house with my night clothes on, even if feeling under the weather, it takes very little time to throw leggings and a t shirt on for the relaxed look and feel.

Maybe I am just a snob though.....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Local Tesco used to open at midnight Sunday (ie just a minute after Sunday trading restrictions passed), not only was I shocked to see the state of the store - cages and cardboard all over the shop, but there were quite a few customers in PJs.

I had to pop out this morning and chucked on a pair of jeans and hoodie; comfortable and looks ok for what I was doing.

I do generally try to throw a shirt on and look presentable, but that's just my dress sense rather than an essential.
