Guess you're not Phlegmish then. Or are you not a Wally? Apparently these things are important.

Ole Pa Generali once went with some friends to a small island off the coast of Ireland which had two villages, each with a pub. They decided to spend a night in each. They started in the Northern village pub where they were told to watch for that lazy lot down south who wouldn't look after them right and just wanted to sit about.

The next night they were asked if they were okay having spent the night with the money-grubbers from the north.

I'm yet to see a difference between Greek and Turkish houmous yet each peoples tell me that the differences are very important. I suspect the difference is more to do with whether a Greek or Turk has given it to you.

Also, help for those not directly involved in the disaster but suffering post traumatic stress disorder.

We've had the typical over reaction here, our local Facebook page is full of people being drama llamas....we are in Suffolk for crying out loud so wouldn't even have felt the jolt to the same extent and even if we were nearer, the jolt wasn't THAT bad.

I'm a light sleeper and slept through it, we get more vibration in this house from the docks when a container is dropped, or from next door when they slam their front door. I'm used to it now and just sleep on through.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

CK, can you get some oil of cloves for relief? Can you call your dentist at home and ask if they have a system for international referral?

It's more the cost of treatment here that's worrying me, I've heard its bloomin' expensive.

I've seen the on-site doctor this morning and been prescribed some strong painkillers and told its my toothbrush/brushing technique that's probably causing the problem. Made an appointment with the dentist on Tuesday in the UK anyway as advised, as the doctor I've seen isn't a qualified dentist :)

Prescription charge is €5,55 with an EHIC, so cheaper than in the UK :)

Absolutely blooming wonderful, tyre shredded on school run, took it into nearest garage and now have a lovely bill of £260! Something to do with the alignment and beggering the tyres....

Bread and water for the next month....really could have done without this right now.

    Ouch :(

For the type of car you drive, that seems like a VERY expensive tire on standard rims

Years ago I had a blow out on the M62 in the outside lane.

I was driving a Citroen BX at the time.

I remember commenting to my friend on the odd sound coming from below the car, and he said "I think you have had a blow out".

Y'see? French cars can have some virtues !

I hit a lump of metal on the M25 when I was about 18 in my mothers car.

It was a Ford Sierra, and losing a back tire on a RWD car at 70mph was rather scary

It wasn't just a tyre, it was all 4 plus an alignment check and further work.....tyres should have been £65 inc fitting each (mid range tyres), they did them for £54 each, they also gave a reduction on the alignment check and work.

Just checked around, in this area, for the tyres, it was competitive. The tyres they replaced are circa £75 each including fitting, vat and disposal!

You should be good for another 30000 miles Sue, that's probably the only way to look at it. Still a lot to find in one lump, though.

Listening to various gossip, the bottom line is the most important one, I think......

A lesson on why it's a bad idea for people to be sleeping around, producing children willy nilly with many partners http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3092403/Moment-gay-lovers-met-internet-dating-site-discover-long-lost-BROTHERS-taking-DNA-test-Jeremy-Kyle-show.html
    Keep families together, simples.

Erm, am I the only one thinking "who's bothered?".

The issue of incest is real because of genetic inbreeding.

I can't imagine these 2 were going to be the world's first male couple to produce offspring together.

Actually, it does matter. It keeps the Jezzer Kyle ratings up. For that, we should all be ashamed.

I can't believe you are suggesting it's anything other than a fair contest CK.

    I'm shocked :)

I'm suggesting it's fair, I'm merely speculating how the voting will go.

I don't know how the juries have voted, nor do I know how the public will vote, just using a mix of bookies, youtube views, common sense and neighbourly relations to come to a general idea.

This is VERY different to yesterday, and that was very different from when I checked on Wednesday. I'm actually very surprised at that, and the other range of paramaters, including the results both on Tuesday and last night.
