Morning all. Did the earth move for you overnight?

Not sure if we have Kentish or S Essex NPs, but there was an earthquake overnight.

CK, can you get some oil of cloves for relief? Can you call your dentist at home and ask if they have a system for international referral?

I did wake at just the time the earthquake hit, but may well have simply been disturbed by DS who'd not long come home after working later than he'd intended.

ETA Caught up now. Thank goodness Sue and michaels' family are okay! Sorry about the bill though :(

Maggie That was a lovely pic from Wiki :) Nice to see Ruddy Duck on the water.

If you ever visit Austria, I'd ignore Vienna and go to Salzburg. That'll show you what an Austrian city should look like.
Yes we were in Salzburg for 4 days late February, absolutely loved it. I'll put a pic on photobucket for the NP thread...once I've done this bit of work which is supposedly urgent.

I once had a blowout on whatever motorway it is that crosses the Penines.

    The M62.
Used to drive a lot there when still living 'oop north'.
I always felt sorry for that farm located between the westbound and the eastbound carriageway.

I've just seen some of the pics showing the scene of devastation from the Kent earthquake.

Where to begin? Overturned garden chairs; gas barbecues with a little wheel knocked off; bird feeders toppled.

Lucky we have the bank holiday weekend to put all this right ;)

I remember a blow out I had on my very first car, I was going 70 in the outside lane. Scared the bloody life out of me and the car reacted quite violently but luckily, nothing in the inside lane and I managed to bring the car to a stop safely on the shoulder of the bypass.

Not bad bearing in mind I had only passed my test a couple of months earlier.

Years ago I had a blow out on the M62 in the outside lane.

I was driving a Citroen BX at the time.

I remember commenting to my friend on the odd sound coming from below the car, and he said "I think you have had a blow out".

Y'see? French cars can have some virtues !

Oh? I'd have put: Il pleut comme une vache qui pi55e. Can you omit the article in French like that?

Also, help for those not directly involved in the disaster but suffering post traumatic stress disorder.
