    I liked this for Chemistry.

I saved the Physics ones in a file, err somewhere...it'll on one of the virtual machines. I just did a search in youtube really.

    I still have one problem!!

It's still DD sitting the exam, and she seems less inclined to focus. Not much I can do about that!

    Also for chemistry, try these:

I studied chemistry at Nottingham as an undergrad and was lucky enough to have lectures from the now Sir Prof Martyn Poliakoff (and inorganic chemistry tutorials for a couple of years). He is a legend (and I don't say that often).

Thanks both of you. I'll pass those on to DS so he can see if they hit the spot for him. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Glad to hear everyone is ok though. That's the main thing.

What lemonjelly said. Hope they feel less shaken soon.

Youngest - Did better than he had been predicted when he was in primary school but worse than was expected when he started his GCSE years due to them ignoring his statement. Now moved school and is getting distinctions.

After all your family has suffered at the hands of that previous school, it is lovely to hear that. :)

Absolutely blooming wonderful, tyre shredded on school run, took it into nearest garage and now have a lovely bill of £260! Something to do with the alignment and beggering the tyres....

Bread and water for the next month....really could have done without this right now.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Oh no! Cars are a nightmare for unavoidably costing lots of money without warning. :(

I remember the first time I was referred to as "the lady". I was 16ish, I think, and on a train sitting next to a family with small children.

I'd forgotten, but when my friend and I were 14 we went collecting door-to-door for the Red Cross (we were members of a Red Cross cadet unit at our school). One man came to the door with a small child, gave some coins to the child and said "Put them in the.....the girls' box!"

Obviously he'd been about to say "the ladies' box" then realised we weren't, yet :D

Tell me about it, right now feel like taking a bottle of wine and hiding under my duvet with it.

Saving grace is that I was going less than 30mph on around town roads and not 70mph on the bypass...that would have been horrendous.

I once had a blowout on whatever motorway it is that crosses the Penines. I was doing 95mph and listening to the Newcastle vs Middlesbrough or Sunderland game. No drama at all. I did have to wait a while before I could change the tyre for the smoke to clear as I sat on the hard shoulder.

I remember a blow out I had on my very first car, I was going 70 in the outside lane. Scared the bloody life out of me and the car reacted quite violently but luckily, nothing in the inside lane and I managed to bring the car to a stop safely on the shoulder of the bypass.

Not bad bearing in mind I had only passed my test a couple of months earlier.

Bang on! I'm gutted that my car has a big plate underneath. This means my long standing well trusted mobile mechanic can't service my car, as it needs getting up on a ramp. :(

Trusting a mechanic is a big thing imo. This is causing me a proper headache.
