What make was it purch? Sounds like it deserves an honourable mention. Are you going for the same brand again?

    Miele.

Thing weighs a ton, I still haven't got over moving it the day it was first delivered and I was 31 and fit back then. I'm actually paying for a man(men) to remove it, and insert the new one, which is a new concept for me, as I am one of those stupid macho types who thinks he can do everything (and usually ends up bodging it)

It's being replaced with another Miele, as HID's method of choosing these things is to walk around until she finds the most expensive thing on display. I then walk around looking at everything else, until I finally get to where she is standing and we buy that.

I took my B&O speakers to the tip recently. I bought them second hand for my first house... In 1986. Their stuff is certainly built to last.

MY BiL has his whole house wired up with B&O stuff.

The TV remote is a ball shaped contraption about the size of a baseball. I've never yet managed to work out how to change channels, but I can play a CD whilst trying to do so.

It's probably heresy to say this on this site.....but you do get what you pay for sometimes. :o

Yeah, that racist thing is still a problem...

More of these people not winning seats (and I don't mean second generation Sri Lankans) are the only good thing about not having proportional representation.

Nikkster, I particularly like that someone has written 'glass' on it, just in case we weren't convinced!

Ours replies all the time! In 2013 he sent the wind up the District Council for me and last year I got a signed apology from the Chief Exec of HMRC. It took them another two or three months to actually fix their error, but that's not important when you get an apology ;)

He was/is/will be a cabinet minister. I have a feeling someone else does a lot of the constituency stuff for him, but I think his name helps.

He seems quite charming locally, but acts like a goon on TV and his Facebook feed makes me want to beat my head against a wall. No local agenda at all, in fact, no agenda other than posting tabloid articles having a go at Labour.

I would pity the theif who spent the time going through all our stuff before discovering that we have nothing of value....

You may have had to pay them to take the keys to your last car, but I'm sure they'd be interested in your new one.

My new aerial guy just went out and put CCTV on a house we lived in and sold during 2011, coincidentally. The house was broken into and they took both of the shiny BMWs on the drive. :(

    I've been Money Tipped!
I reckon anyone coming in here would be aghast at the clutter and mess and then spend all the time tripping over animals. We mainly have lots and lots of dog beds and odd curtains it seems to me.

Thinking about this....I think they'd also get bored of the length of our house and give up. :rotfl: it feels one room too long when you walk back through it.
