We have decided not to finish planting our lavender edging this year, for budgetary reasons, ahem,, so half the long edge is sown with lettuces :rotfl: And where I know I want some peril herbs I might be able to get in end of summer sales I've stuck radishes in.
No reason not to get things in empty patches, even if they are slight cuckoos.
You can see, some of my pear branches, at their next tying in, have come to the end of their space! Incredible.
I'd not even got to the background, was so distracted by the foreground! Nice pear(s)
Love the idea of lettuce edging! I've managed to keep a fraction of my lavender plug plants from last year (in fact must have been the end of may) alive. Desperate to bet l get them in the ground now, but was waiting for the door to be sorted first. Guess I should wait for an idea of railing eta now before planting them out. Hopefully some will still be alive at that point0 -

Yeah, my feelings exactly. I've got the storage that was left here, not bought anything yet! Even my second hand TV is sat on the floor...
Also doesn't help that I've got a mild hoarding issue.
Anyway, at least I can honestly say that I've started working on the house
Next up is chasing !!!!!! van Dyke for his chimney quote.
And saving up for the bathroom. The tiles I like will probably make my front door seem positively frugal
Storage is sooooo far down my list.0 -
Don't worry - you're a day early. It's only my pre-Birthday today
I've decided to go MSE and do without locks. What do you think?
I would open back up the transom light.
Do you have locks yet? I quite fancy the idea of having the sort of proximity locks like they have on cars these days so you don't have to muck about with the key - does anyone have these?
I had the electrician come today who was recommended, slightly awkward moment when he asked who is was who had recommended him as GDB did not seem like a suitable reply. Turns out he lived on the next road when he was growing up.I think....0 -

We have about 10 junk rooms and 1 room I just about manage to hold back the tide but only via weekly purges under threat of purple bin bags. It used to be 2 rooms but since we started decorating one of the bedrooms (about 2 years ago) our bedroom has also crossed over to the junk side. #marriedtoahoarderI think....0 -

I .
I don't, and would not, though would consider biometric. And I obviously have a criminal mind places because my instinct regarding central locking / unlocking in urban areas is unpleasant. I wish there was an unlock drivers door only option.0 -

I had to look that up
The plainest plain 'smoky' double glazed panel should arrive tomorrow.
Locks purchased today : deadlock, night latch, bolts. I had already bought a chain. I like the thought of traditional physical locks and bolts. Aren't proximity locks on cars the in thing to 'pick' now?
Ultimate seal of approval - sent my mum that badly taken pic of the inside and she seemed surprised at how lovely the door isThat might change when she sees the colour of the outside
