    Bit off topic I know but do they actually send you a cassette? I've not had anything that can play cassettes in my house for years

    It's sent out on the format it was recorded on, so if that force is still using cassettes then yes.

    So: just to summarise, when the collision occurred, you were driving at 40mph in a 30mph limit (33% over the speed limit), on a road you knew (and so knew to be restricted), in the dark, in the wet, and on the wrong side of the road? The vehicle was free of defects, and so were you.
    Now please tell me how the other driver's actions or the road conditions are a mitigating factor in this? If your solicitor can answer that question, he'll be well worth his fee.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
