Quick interview then, what was it all of five minutes. A lot of that maybe down to the police.
So a road you're familiar with its wet and you were speeding. You skidded due to the wet, did you brake or apply harsh steering? If not you probably aquaplaned so 40 was your minimum speed.
Other than too fast in the wet you've failed to account for why the collision occurred other than you drove below the standard expected and therefore carelessly.
If charge best course of action is an early guilty plea.0 -
So we have an admission to speeding.
An admission that you knew the road was wet, but skidded "due to a wet patch".
That sounds like a good case for careless driving at best, possibly dangerous.
Also a good case for employing a lawyer before the interview.0 -

Highly unlikely given the circumstances, there's no evidence of prolonged excessive speed or poor driving. But clearly careless.0 -
Was it cold at 6am?
Did you have the car warm enough inside?
Could you feel the controls, pedals and wheel ok?
Any medical conditions you should maybe have made the police away of to avoid prosecution? You know what I mean, not caused you a problem before but require the use of additional aids to help you out.0 -

"It was too cold to drive, I couldn't feel the controls, but I drove anyway." I wouldn't try that as a defence.0 -

Depends on how he words it and whether his condition has caused such problems before. A sudden onset of his condition maybe as much of a defence as it's useful to the prosecution provided it's not happened to him before. I take it you kniw what I'm referring to rather than having a dig.
The time to raise this though would have been in interview.0 -
I have no medical conditions which affected me.
I have spoken to solicitor this morning who who deals with Road And Traffic Crime explained the situation to him and that I have revived a tape recording of the interview as well. The solicitor said the tape recording has been sent to you because you must of signed a paper saying that you want to be sent to you which is normal some people ask not to have it. And at the moment he said I can do nothing just wait for the Summons to arrive if the CPS decide to prosecute and it will really depend what CPS want to prosecute for careless driving or dangerous driving most probably will be be careless driving as there were no serious injury's.0 -

I have not killed someone and was not drink driving
Fine I understand my car skid and went onto the other side but the other driver must of being coming at some speed when he hit me left hand side impact because his car sustained more damage that min. Plus I am the one who has injury's.
Croyland, you do not seem to admit that this was ALL your fault. You were speeding, (which you've admitted to the Police) and stated it was 'damp'. It was your car that ended up on the wrong side of the road. If you had been driving to the road conditions as you are supposed to, then you still may have skidded but also may have been able to avoid the other car.
The driver on the other side of the road was not at fault. Just because your car had more damage, it may be his is, sorry was, a better built car.
(And before you get on your soapbox, I am NOT a new user, although that shouldn't make any difference as it's pretty obvious you don't think you should be punished)0 -

Oh ok, fully cured then?croyland87 wrote: »warehouse I am not 90 I suffer from Raynaud disease thats why I wear gloves when driving.
Level of injury has no bearing on your standard of driving prior to the crash, for that reason if charged I'd look for a solicitor who knows what he's doing.0
