    Your response to this then?

You skidded and crashed, so without a mechanical defect you caused this. Why in your opinion wasn't your driving careless?

It were the rain what did it, m'lid.

Good answer, quickly folllowed by and ultimately the control of the vehicle rest with and solely with the driver. I therefore find you guilty as charged, send him down to break rocks in the hot sun. :rotfl:

Most people have been friendly, and offered advice, but you seem to have ignored it, i.e. gone to interview without a lawyer.

You've now told us the questions you were asked. The only way to get sensible advice will be to tell us the answers.

I fear the damage may already have been done. If they have all the elements of the offence a charge maybe forthcoming.

"the other driver must of being coming at some speed when he hit me left hand side impact because his car sustained more damage that min. "

Rubbish, my car sustained a hell of a lot more damage than the car that hit it, and mine was parked.

I have been driving for 11 years with a clean licence I am a family man with a child with Disabilities I am not the kind person who drives like a maniac but seriously my car skid. Some people have been saying to me that it sounds like a serious case because the Police recorded my interview and now I have received the cassette tape and I need to see a solicitor ASAP but some say leave it and see what happens. I am scared that I don't want to loose my license and be banned. Thank you

Which has absolutely nothing to do with this accident. Your car didn't skid of it's own accord, it skidded because you were driving too fast for the prevailing conditions and you lost control of it. You then crossed the carriageway and hit another car. But it's his fault because he was coming 'at some speed' (despite being on the correct side of the road, unlike you)? And his fault, because 'you were injured' and he was not?
If that's going to be the basis of your defence, then I agree with you, you certainly do need a solicitor. Or alternatively just accept your full responsibility for what happened instead of dreaming up ludicrous defences that will only antagonise the magistrate if you are prosecuted.

So would take the points instead of going to court.

Can i ask if the police recorded your statement on tape and then posted it out to you.

no the police just took a statement in the ambulance when I was getting oxygen, only thing I replied back was no comment.

As I said above, took the points and am now clean. Although not a perfect driver:rotfl:
