    The notice seems straightforward.

Listen to the tape and check the statement Tally's with it.

If you want to make changes get in touch as advised

I have listened to the tape and am happy but worried about whats going to happen in the worse case scenario. Why is the letter mentioning Crown Court and not the local Magistrate Court.

I did not have a solicitor at the time of interview what should I do now speak to a solicitor or wait for the Summons to arrive.

Unless I've missed something, it doesn't mention crown court, just Crown Prosecutor.

The best time to speak to a solicitor would have been before the interview! It's probably better now to wait until you see what you're actually charged with.

Apologies it does say Crown Prosecutor my brain is not functioning properly I am just thinking whats going to happen as I have never been in contact with the Police before.

    Will I banned from driving?
    Will they sentence me?

Nothing will happen unless you get summonsed and are found guilty when you will get a sentence.

Whether or not a ban is possible depends on your alleged offence.

If you get a summons then you can google the offence you are charged with to see the possible sentence you face if guilty.

What happens now is that the CPS look at all the evidence, including yours, and decide whether to prosecute.

You may hear nothing for a long time - they have six months from the date of the (alleged) offence.

Therefore after listening to these tapes you should communicate with the Crown Prosecutor as soon as possible to indicate wheather you are prepared to accept the Police Officers written record of the interview as being accurate for the purpose of the proceedings or wheather you wish alterations or additions to be made to the record to enable the latter to be agreed in advance of any trial.

Reading the small letter received with the tapes I have spotted the above wheather you are prepared to accept the Police Officers written record of the interview as being accurate for the purpose of the proceedings.

I can remember during the recorded interview one of the Police officer was writing as well does that relate to the above.

This makes me even more worried now how much do solicitors charge and what do i say to them?

    Could i go to prison?
I have not killed someone and was not drink driving

Fine I understand my car skid and went onto the other side but the other driver must of being coming at some speed when he hit me left hand side impact because his car sustained more damage that min. Plus I am the one who has injury's.

You should have spoken with a solicitor prior to giving your statement.

But now you may as well wait and see what is the outcome of this. If you end up with a summons there will be time to get legal advice.

Most solicitors give you a free first consultation, when you can discuss fees with them if you want them to represent you.

As previously advised when you know you are charged with an offence then google the penalty for the offence.

    Hi,

Had an accident a few years back, I'd skidded after braking before corner, resulted in a 3 car smash, got cautioned at the scene; then heard nothing for 5 months and 2 weeks; then an invitation to come to court to defend my case or to plead guilty by letter. 5 points £400 fine.

So would take the points instead of going to court.
