Went into my local EE store in harrow and was shocked at how rude the staff were then got another shock to be told that I could not get a code for another 2 months. Very annoyed as they made me queue up and waste my time for no flippin reason. Hate being with this phone company, I got conned. Got a phone call asking if I wanted to do an upgrade then what phone would I have been interested in. Before I knew it they had sent it to me. What I didn't understand was that people in front of me in the queue were getting their power banks. Anyway, after reading all the pooey terms and conditions it's only on loan.0

You don't think, just maybe, they already had a code to collect one? While you didn't?====0 -
Just sent the text and received this reply: "Sorry, as there's been such high demand, we need to 'power pause' to recharge stock! Please try again from 8am 24th June. You weren't charged for your text." More than 2 months?!!! Seems they massively misjudged this one. Bring back Orange Wednesdays...0

In spite of the idiotic thread title the Power Bars have got absolutely nothing to do with Orange Wednesdays.
The Orange Wednesday replacement is a £1 Film Club offer.
MSE even had a news story about it - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/phones/2015/03/ee-reveals-online-streaming-offer-to-replace-orange-wednesdays====0 -

I think the real attraction is the ability to get a 'refill' whenever you're in town shopping. That's not a 'nothing', it's a service you just can't get anywhere else.Caretomuch wrote: »Went into my local EE store in harrow and was shocked at how rude the staff were then got another shock to be told that I could not get a code for another 2 months. Given the level of "service" reported on here, that's a pleasure I can do without. I'd rather plug my phones into a charger at home and save the petrol, time and hassle. I can get better "freebies" from a Christmas cracker.
I wonder how many pages there will be on here with people fretting about a bit of plastic and a few wires from China.0 -

I agree. If i had to drive to EE store then i would not bother with it but it was just walking distance from workWhat happens if you push this button?0 -
Picked one up from one of the Preston stores, (Fishergate),earlier, seem to have plenty, one person in front of me, one behind, sorted in less than 5 minutes, staff very pleasant, you will need some sort of ID with your name on, (bank card will do).
It comes with a torch built into the head.
My phone does not have a micro usb, just standard mini, I assume it will be OK to use a standard cable to recharge "any" item that has a mini or micro usb?

Asked for name ID, phone number,(phone number was a landline as I don't have a registered mobile just EE broadband and landline), and code, never asked to see the sms even though I had it with me.
