From the man who couldn't even get a crime number when someone tried to screw his house. :rotfl:

Yes mate you really stand up for your rights.
arrr now, you do not know how I dealt with that do you!

from being bold as brass and kicking up a stink, that has been well a truly put to bed, I managed to get the whole house a revamp of UPVC friction hinges, bubble seals, window handles, kitchen cupboard doors and fronts and handles and some building work done out of it plus a £200 B&Q vouchers. plus the charge for the window is going no where because I have evidence to back up they failed in the scenario too to which they have agree'd things could have gone differently and the person who took the report should have informed me better on tape!, and that's not the end of it, I have some more in the pipeline hence why no update.

plus the nationwide crash repair nightmare I sure know how to handle myself.

so yes, I really do aim to get things done MY WAY and get more out of it if I can.

As that was about to descend into an argument so I just asked for my current car back (even though they filled in all the V5 stuff and I'll have to spend £25 on a new one)..
    ..

    could you explain this?

You contracted to buy the vehicle when you paid a deposit. The finance is another matter. If the V5C now has another registered keeper on it (you) then it's value has dropped and the garage will presumably seek to recover their resale losses over and above the deposit, if that's not enough.
    ?
Don't necessarily agree with the OP but not many people know that in certain circumstances a dealer can de-register a vehicle. It is then as if it has never been registered see http://assets.dft.gov.uk/dvla/V355_290613.pdf Page 15 bottom right

I get the impression (may be wrong) the OP has changed their mind regarding buying a new car and is looking a way however tenuous to get out..........

Nope... The garage off their own back have confirmed that I will get a full refund of my deposit (well they legally have no choice but I didn't need to tell them that before they offered it)...

Meanwhile the brand is investigating the conduct of the garage (they wish to be perceived as a premium brand and the behaviour of the staff I dealt with falls well below their desires). They are also trying to find me a similar car from within their stock...

What I do love here is the number of know it alls who actually don't know anything. At least I know that the advice here is worth less than what I paid for it...

Easy. They filled in the V5 form for my old car before we discovered the paperwork issue. At that point after being accused of being a liar I asked for the old car back and refused to continue any further...

Hence before I do sell /trade-in the old car I will need a new V5..

Because at the time I didn't. I then saw the crap being posted on here with the petty arguments and thought it was time I spoke to a lawyer...

Well, if you're attitude with the dealer was anything like your attitude on here, i can see why you rubbed them up the wrong way.
