I have MBNA Platinum rewards which come on both AMEX and Visa I am not aware of 1% cashback. The only thing I got is points reward which is useless as it will need to be used to buy the items on their lists.

The items are either the items I do not need, I already have it or if I need (quite rare) I could always find a much better price than their items.

Would you mind sharing info. What type of MBNA card are you having ? Thanks

I'm doing the same as everyone else, cancelling card today, already have an MBNA Amex 1% cashback card along with AMEX charge card for reward points but looking for a non Amex card for the places that don't accept Amex. Are there any Visa or Mastercard that still gives cashback or rewards?

    Thanks.

I also have the same card mentioned by Toki, it's an MBNA Amex card that pays a flat 1% cashback without an annual fee.

It use to pay 1.5% on Supermarket spending and zero on everything else, but they changed it some time ago, AFAIK, it's no longer available to new customers....:(

Managed to find an old link for you http://www.moneysupermarket.com/money/providers/mbna-amex-cashback.aspx

The 'proceed' option no longer works, it was back in 2011.... and cashback was later changed to a flat 1% at any retailer.

It's called MBNA Cash Back Standard American Express Card. As NoviceAngel has said, no longer available.

I'm concerned they're not cancelling it quickly enough as I want to apply for another card. Has anyone had a similar issue?
