Sounds like a good day chrysalis.
How fab to have a library over the road. Ours is about a 10 minute stroll away. I'm in there enough as it is. I would have to pay rent if it was over the road.
I hope your afternoon was relaxing.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

:hello: hello peeps,
I did indeed have a relaxing evening yesterday, I played family trivial pursuit with ds whilst we watched the rugby.
This morning was the kids swimming lessons, this week was already paid so again no extra expense, afterwards we popped to my parents house for a brew. When we got home dh made the roast dinner whilst I varnished the skirting boards and doorframes in dd bedroom, another little job done.
The next bit I can do in there is paint the window sill and change the air vent but I need the pennies to buy these things so will have to wait. I won't be able to do anything else after that until the ceiling and walls are done so I need to save £400-600 for this, I just don't think I can save it this side of Xmas.
DH is still mega peeed off about money, I am just getting on and doing what I can.
One more day to get through, I don't need any fuel or food except a block of butter before Tuesday.
Last things for the day - iron school uniform, bath the kids.

Morning.
I changed the last of the change jar money this morning and got some more bread and milk, I wish people would stop using it it just seems to go!
I also used some of the change to pay for the postage on the dvd that I sold over the weekend. I popped into the landofpounds to recce some items for xmas, it looks like I'll be able to do a lot of it there and save a fortune.
One more day to get through before child benefit goes in but this needs to last until next Thursday when I get paid and I will need a bit of fuel before then.
DH is still not speaking much, he's fine with the kids but so angry and frustrated with me (not against me like it's my fault, but about the finances). I really can't be bothered to deal with it at the moment, he didn't even comment about the varnishing but said I'm going learn how to plaster as we'll never have enough money to decorate.
Bah, I'll bloody show him.
So onwards, I'm going to do some marking before I get into troubke at work. See you all later.

You go for it. I love decorating and would love to learn to plaster but I'm strange.
Bread lasts about 10 seconds here. I'm seeming to buy a loaf daily. I think I'm going to give it up again.
Good luck with the marking. Better to get it out of the way.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Do you feel good that you've managed the weekend grocery challenge set by you?!
Oh boo to DH, blooming men they totally drive me mad sometimes!
Happy CB day for tomorrow xxMummytogirls x0 -
Evening all,
A busy few days with work and home life, but ticking along as usual.
Was good to get through the weekend and scrape by, would be great to get into a position of not living from payday to payday down to the last penny. One day!
So got a few bits and pieces of food, I told dh that we still needed to get through until next Thursday and I checked bank this afternoon and have been paid expenses. I haven't told him as I want him to be frugal for the next week, is that really mean?
Had a chat with dd about birthday and xmas, she didn't expect her bike until xmas so that's less of a worry to find enough money to cover it. She is having a small sleep over and then a meal with us and one friend the next day.
DH is better now, I was really annoyed today though as yesterday his mate brought another boat round to store in our garden and do some work so was here with his son. This morning I wasn't well and in bed when I heard the door open, it was his mate coming in to work on the boat again! I would never do that and felt like I couldn't relax in my own home. DH came home not long after I phoned and complained that he hadn't warned me that he wanted to come round.
I'm really hate people outstaying their welcome!
Feeling much better this evening, I've updated YNAB, done a few surveys and contemplating paying a little bit of money towards some debt.

Evening Chrysalis,
Oohh I don't think I would be putting up with someone letting themselves in my house like that! You are better than me! I think he should be paying you some storage fee too!!!
Hope you're feeling better xxMummytogirls x0 -
Evening all,
A busy few days at work and home, only 3 days of work then off for half term with the kids, yes working Saturday again but a good event.
Payday tomorrow so hopefully my ynab account will start to look a bit better, discussed the final budget details with dh to add in so will start from a good point then.
In major news I sorted out the details of my new job and will start with them on 24th November, it can't come soon enough as it's bloody awful where I am now and likely to get worse. I'm writing my resignation letter tonight and taking it to the office in the morning. As I'm off next week I've worked out that I only have 10 working days then I'm free! A shame after 10 mainly good years bit I'm not putting up with rudeness and incompetence.
The place I'm going to is a small family company and I have known the staff for many years, such a difference and as it's 5 minutes walk from my house I can save in fuel and get more exercise.
So lots of changes afoot, I need to clear up some paperwork for a couple of students as I don't want to leave them with anyone else.

Oh chrysalis, have fun writing the resignation letter. It's such a satisfying thing to do when you desperately want to leave somewhere. Fab news about the start date for the new job.
I break up on Friday for half term too. I don't usually work Fridays but I'm trying to think of the extra money. Have a fantastic week off. You have lots to look forward to.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%
