A productive afternoon, I emptied the built in cupboard in my room which was a mess of my clothes, computer stuff, camping stuff and other junk. It goes under the stairs that lead to the attic so stuff shoved right back. Anyway I have only put in my clothes and shoes and got rid of loads of things, some has been listed on fb and some thrown or for charity.
Cupboard looks much better and will be easy to empty completely when we decorate our room as we will take out the cupboard, board the underneath of stairs and create a bigger space in the room.
Realised when I sorted my clothes that they are awful so will be looking to save for a shop at some point!
Hubby needs to sort through his computer stuff but feel much better about another job done. Still far too much stuff in the house but at least it's getting sorted.

Morning Chrysalis,
Good for you cleaning out the cupboard, I hate jobs like that and always but them off but then feel better once they've been done and wonder why I didn't do it sooner :rotfl:.
I think you deserve a little treat of a new clothing item, maybe out of some eBay sales could you treat yourself?
Hope the car doesnt cost too much xxMummytogirls x0 -
Thanks mtg, I will treat myself once I've lost a bit of weight I spend so long training other people that I've neglected my own fitness over the summer.
Phew having 5 minutes sit down, started the day with a little run to kick start my exercise again I need to keep it going as there are some cross country runs that I want to do for club.
We have spent the morning clearing out the shed, lots of junk got rid of or waiting to be got rid of. Took some to the tip and dropped off a fb sale, only £2.50 but it all adds up. 2 loads of washing done and hubby is cleaning the bikes.
Another gorgeous day today, summer is late this year!

Evening, sold a few bits so £20 sent over to Mum feel like we have achieved loads today which is good.
Another busy day tomorrow with swimming lessons, food shop and cooking for packed lunches hope I find some bargains at Tosco.
A couple of surveys compleyed today and loving my Tilly Tidies as they build up so quickly, not sure what to do with this pot we don't have an emergency fund or any kind of savings so I may just leave it for now.
I keep forgeting to mention that my brother got engaged over the bank holiday and as his fiancee is German it is likely that they will get married over there, we would love it if they do but obviously we would need to save some money. They haven't set any kind of date yet so not sure when it will be but best to be prepared.
I also need to update my SOA as a change in income and some other bits, I would like to be good and put money aside to pay for car and house insurance in full next year, car tax is only £30 so not much of a problem.
Right time to settle down.

Super swimming Sunday this morning, the kids had test week so they swam really hard today.
Had to wait whilst dh and his mate went out for a run (mate) and bike (dh) session then went shopping, lots of yellow stickered items. Made lunch went I got back including mate and his son, I don't mind but they don't even say thankyou and his son is a nightmare he is 10 but acts like he is 2 and so spoiled. He was eating with his hands and dipping his fingers into the salt pot, he also has a issue where he won't go to the toilet and often ends up wetting himself and worse and twice now we have found soiled pants left in our bathroom! Mate is mortified to be fair and is trying to sort out the behaviour but he only has him at weekends so difficult the rest of the week.
Anyway whilst the oven was on I stuck in some homemade sausage rolls and flapjacks for packed lunches.
Nothing financial today, and car finally going in to garage tomorrow. Went for a run.
Jobs left for this evening; make packed lunches, kids in bath, paperwork for student for tomorrow (will have to go on the train), tea for all. Relax.
16 days until payday.

A late post from me today!
Kids went back to school today, they were very excited and seemed to have had a good day when I picked them up.
I've had an irksome day, not bad but irritating. I dropped off the car at garage this morning and then walked to the station so I could go over to a neighbouring town to meet a learner, I had a couple of hours to kill and a bit of a walk to get to appointment so I did send some emails and made some calls. I then waited for learner who didn't show up, frustrating as I could have saved myself £6.50, went back to original station (in the next town to me) and thought I'd pop in on a colleague who lived nearby. Waited until 3pm before I phoned the garage for progress, they hadn't even looked at the car yet so colleague dropped me home. Garage finally called at 4.55pm to say they were struggling to find the fault so could they keep it over night and then continue tomorrow. As I say not a bad day but annoying.
So no progress, cheered myself up by making a Tilly Tidy. Hopefully some form of news tomorrow, luckily I can walk to my appointments.

Good evening, so update on the car they struggled to find the fault until late this afternoon it's the vacuum pump for the turbo that needs replacing which is why the codes all related to the turbo. It's going to cost £164.20 to repair but the part won't arrive until tomorrow so won't get back until the afternoon meaning another train journey in the morning. Hope I get it back before an important meeting at 4pm!
So this will leave us really stretched until CB comes in next week but we have plenty of food and may need a bit of fuel if I'm working this weekend, plus need to pay childcare.
I sorted out lots of financial paperwork and worked out that even with the reduction in my full time job will should still be able to manage quite comfortably, it does spur me on to get rid of the remaining debt quicker especially the car as that costs us £158 per month. We should be able to save and start attacking the mortgage.
Talking of the mortgage we recieved a letter today saying that our monthly payments are to be reduced next month by...... wait for it.......17p! Yay x
Still trying to sort out my teaching pay owed, must get this sorted.
Small Tilly Tidy and some surveys completed today.
14 days until payday.
