  • Afternoon all, posting now as I will be out this evening at a meeting for work so goodness only knows what time I'll be home but all the hours build up which is certainly needed this month as I had a full 11 days off. I'll work out my months weekly average hours for my second job after tomorrow as out all day at a competition. I don't think I'll hit 16 hours a week this month so need to make sure that I plan for next month, there are more competitions so should boost the hours.

Went out to the aquarium with the kids this morning, I warned them that we wouldn't be visiting the gift shop and they were fine then we went over to Mr T's so dd could get some cake ingredients and we did a shop too. Lots of yellow stickered items, some half price just because the box was ripped! Only spent £45 out of this weeks allocated amount so far but forgot bin bags so will need to get those.

A few more surveys completed and that's about it for today unless something magically happens, well we can live in hope!

Sound like you had a lovely day at the aquarium. You children sound very sensible accepting no visits to the gift shop.

  • A busy couple of days, I ended up working from 0900 until 2000 at the athletics competition on Saturday so a good amount to add to the timesheet which I must complete tomorrow and send in.

I have been slowly tidying up the house but like others lots of decluttering needed too, sun is shining today so many loads of washing going out on the washing line.

Yesterday I was really pleased to pick up some free wooden pallets which I am going make into pot holders for the garden to hold herbs and flowers, need a bit of a brush to get off the loose bits and then I want some blackboard paint so I can write the names.

    Hopefully the image works!

Right need to motivate myself to go and tidy another room.

  • Ali - Yep been on there some amazing things made with wooden pallets, I'm not that creative but should do me fine and I will work out how to post photos properly before then!

In the office today for a team meeting as the first week of term, totally pointless as usual but nice to see my colleagues as I don't see some of them much now I'm part-time. A couple of appointments and home to do some paperwork and update my balance book.

Account balance not looking good, I have 21 days until pay day and still need to pay for childcare, the kids went in to their school holiday club for 3 days instead of the local council sports group as they hated it so it will cost me £135 instead of £54! Not great when I have £472 to pay for that bill, food, fuel, swimming lessons at £70, whatever the garage find wrong with the car, and the kids sports/music sessions. I will have child benefit coming in on 15th and mileage expenses for second job around the same time so much get that sent in. I really wanted to start using the CB to make extra debt payments but probably won't be this month unless the car is kind.

Lots of surveys done, 1poll is now just a smidge past £38 so nearly there, other sites building up slowly.

Have been very good with food, we had a roast chicken for lunch on Sunday, then a leftovers salad and also made a chicken soup. Need to do a menu and also look at what needs preparing for packed lunches when the kids go back to school on Monday. If all else fails we will have lots of tomatoes from the garden!

My parents are having the kids tomorrow and Thursday whilst I have a few appointments so that will save me a bit of childcare fees. Need to think of many creative ways to say No to things over the next few weeks.

  • A bit of an odd day, felt really flat this morning with no reason to then thought that it's probably due to not being able to do anything until after we have had the car into the garage on Monday. So in a bit of limbo until we find out the damage. Felt much better after a couple of hours of coaching and took one of my athletes over to the big club for a trial, so I'm home late and waiting for my tea to cook but in much better spirits.

Another busy day tomorrow, I must get all my pay claims done otherwise I simply will not get paid! If I can get that done and a few bits of paperwork then I can have Friday free to do a bit of decluttering, selling and checking final bits ready for school on Monday.

Did a shop today so should see us through until Sunday then will go again so we have fresh for packed lunch and will do a cooking afternoon, the kids made some biscuits today as a practice so very nice gingerbread men and cinnamon cookies to munch through.

Following on from others logs: 20 days until payday.

  • Evening all,

Managed to get quite a few things done today, time sheet completed and sent for second job, time sheet completed for owed teaching hours but need to find out my differential rate before I can send it. A few surveys done, annoyingly 1poll is now at £39.95 and keep refreshing the page for more surveys - how sad!

Some paperwork completed ready to send tomorrow but a few phone calls to make before I can concentrate on the decluttering.

Had a strange dream that my father in law left us a cheque in a kitchen drawer for £150,000! I wish, plus wonder how he got here as he lives the other end of Wales to us. Must be a sign, shall I do the lottery?

So 3 more days until the car is hopefully sorted and we can move on with our lives.

    19 days until payday.

  • I have spent the morning sorting out the kids school things ready for Monday so bags are packed and clothes ready, we did have to pop out to buy dd some new trousers as hers were too small but only cost £5 in Txxco. Just packed lunches to make on Sunday night.

1poll finally hit redemption sum so have requested this, I can't pay to Mum until it actually hits the account but at least I know it's another bit gone. Also paid £3.97 from Quxdco and been paid mileage from second job that I submitted yesterday! I will transfer the £3.97 to my mini savings pot where I am stacking up the 'Tilly Tidies', how wonderful that she has recently become mortgage free, that will be my next goal after getting rid of the debt.

Listed a few items on fb for dd for some pocket money, I'm hoping that the weather is good over the weekend so we can sort out the nightmare shed and see if there is anything we can sell, we do have a treadmill to get rid of and that will free up some space.

Not feeling the love to do any paperwork today, will perhaps do some more tidying and then think about it.

    18 days until pay day.
