  • I applied and got the 0% credit card - but its only for 6 months before the rate rockets - so HAVE to pay that balance off as priority!!!
Still poorly could do with a week in bed!!! This time next week we will be in France yay!!!!
Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£310
  • Ah well that's good news, at least you got 6 months at 0% :) I bet you'll be able to make a massive dent in getting that paid off.

Sorry to hear you are still feeling rough. BUT....it's almost holiday time :) Have a lovely day xx
  • I'm working in London today! Two hour journey!!! Still its a bit better than the office and breaks the week up a bit!
OH made P the most lovely bookshelf yesterday - its a floor standing one like the ones you get at preschool where they can see the front of the books - cost £30 in timber and just needs some varnish - he is so clever with practical and handy things!!
    Have a lovely day too!!!

  • I feel your pain, the London commute is a nightmare!!

That sounds lovely, you are lucky to have a hubby who can and wants to do handy stuff like that. My other half hides at the prospect of DIY or anything remotely like it and I'm sure he purposefully does a cr*p job so I don't ask him again, lol. I would love him to be handy and do stuff like that at home.

Sounds like you might be feeling a bit better? I just noticed your other message was dated Saturday x
  • So back in the office today with a thousand deadlines! They can wait! Since beginning this diary I have become obsessed with watching balances go down, earning any little bits of money to make my payment a day!
The past few days I have got £10 from swagbucks, Geolotto £5, profit on clothing sales £18. Its not going too well right now! I think my head is too focussed on holiday!!
Although I am earning extra, I haven't been so great at spending less. I'm definitely, definitely, definitely going to work on this when we get home!!
Having my nails done tomorrow - pure indulgence I know but I only ever indulge in this at xmas and holidays! Am looking forward to a bit of girlyness even if it only lasts a few weeks!!!

  • What are Swagbucks and geolotto all about? I've seen a few people mention them before.

I think the run up to holiday is always a bit costly, there are always a few last minutes things you need. Let yourself enjoy the holiday (and all the additional expense that goes with it!) and you will come back refreshed and ready to get stuck in!!

You deserve to have a bit of pampering, working and being mum is hard graft xx
  • swagbucks is a website where you answer surveys and watch videos and you get points for it - when you have enough points you can get vouchers such as Amazon or M&S (which are handy for xmas) or paypal - the vouchers are less points than paypal!
There are also 4 apps that you can have on your phone and you get points for watching the videos.
I will send you a PM!
Geolotto was free game where you get 50 digs a day to find coins and could cash out at £5 - unfortunately its no longer free!

  • Ah thanks, I'll have to look into it. Give me something to do in the evenings that's actually productive aswell :)
  • Two more sleeps!!!! Not that I'm excited or anything! OH says I'm over-excited and will end up disappointed (bah humbug!!!) Just a change of scenery, some fresh air and good food will make the world of difference and a WHOLE week with my girls - uninterrupted by washing and ironing and bills and work!!!
Best get on with these accounts! Deadline looming....

Where are ye heading off on your holidays? I think anywhere away from the general drudge of washing, ironing etc is exciting!
